Buffet dinner was very good - breakfast was good but overpriced .Internet worked well but again overpriced - should be free. Frankly I was very disappointed with my stay at the Furama this trip - I am a regular customer at the hotel but this will have been the third time that it seems I have to fight to get the room that I booked. I booked a smoking deluxe as usual and for the third time I was offered an"upgrade" to their worst Executive club rooms which are located on the 6th floor right in front of the aircon or water cleaning vats that spray a lovely green ooze over the windows and make a heck of a noise. I politely declined this "upgrade" and then was told that they didn't have any more deluxe smoking rooms. After raising voice, one such room miraculously appeared. Quite frankly us travelers don't need this kind of hassle. Next time in Singapore I will be staying at another hotel. My colleague was also blatantly lied to as the receptionist serving him tried to tell him that they had only one smoking executive club floor whereas in fact they have club rooms on every floor and there are some 9 smoking floors. Get your act together !!! or make another smoking floor !!

It's location;not near the busy city centre so you get some peace and quiet. Also, being an older hotel the decor is quite old-world charm. The area near the pool and tennis court is quiet at night and it is very nice to sit there with your partner and relax in the breeze. It's also quite near the river so you could go for a stroll there. You could take a bus to nearby clarke quay where there are many eateries, pubs and generally nice things to see. Conversely, you could go by bus to Tiong Bahru market where there's a lot of nice, decently priced food and soak in the different nostalgic atmosphere. When I first booked through booking.com the reservation staff didn't accept it because of some name issues. The least she could do was to call me and clarify with me over the tel instead of emailing me and saying that they would let the room go if I couldn't clarify things. Secondly, when I emailed reservations to request that I get a clean, decent room, the officer replied that such rooms were 'subject to availability'?? So their staff could be better trained. For the price, their location is quite out of the way(but if you want quiet and don't mind travelling then it's alright). Also, no breakfast included.

The hotel gave me free upgrade to Club Room at the highest floor! Love the room with it's unique design! Comfortable & big bed. Nice breakfast with wide variety of food. Waitresses were efficient. Value for money! No complaint except the nightclubs besides it was a bit too rowdy / noisy with the CNY celebration.

The hotel is not new, but well established in terms of management. Too crowded for breakfast, foods were rather good, staff services are ok, room service and hygience were well accepted. Locality of the hotel is good. In general, I shall rate the hotel above average. Hope in near future I could get better rate for longer stay.. I am Singaporean with CN family for holiday as well as visiting parents. Philipinno staff are well trained and hardworking as well as their HongKong and Korean peers.

Hotel is quite good, good value for money. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are spacy. IYou might get annoyed by traffic on Havelock Road close by. Internet should be included in price,

The Hotel is located a bit out of town however most areas are easily accessible by bus or train and we found it easy to walk home from Chinatown (about 20min). The breakfast at the hotel is really nice with a wide selection to accommodate most nationalities and dietary requirements.

We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival, so that was a pleasant surprise. The location wasnt all that flash, but taxis are cheap in Singapore, so it didnt really matter.

The hotel has very bad parking facility and reception services. Marshal did not give directions to the alternative parking space when its carpark was full due to wedding functions. When I inquire about the parking charges incurred at the alternative parking space, the staff told me that complimentary ticket is only for parking at the hotel itself and i've to cover the charges on my own expenses at the alternative space. This is definitely not the service that i'm expecting. The operator on the phone wasn't polite as well when I called up from my room to check with the availability of the car park. Recep staff could not speak proper english and did not even inform about the breakfast time and venue. The hotel room looks dirty and the bed was not comfortable at all. Toiletries provided looks old and seems to be re-used.

Buffet Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a late checkout when we requested for it. The club room we booked allowed us to have access to the executive lounge which served delightful snacks and drinks in the evening.

The way we were always welcomed back to the hotel when we had been out. It was always a 'welcome home' from the doorman/porters. Concierge staff were very helpful when we wanted to know how to reach a destination and looked up addresses for us. Tailor in the hotel complex is worth a visit and prices seemed reasonable compared to some other tailors I have encountered in hotels. The Waterfall Lounge is a very relaxing venue to enjoy a drink or just sit and read a book. The Singapore Slings we enjoyed at the Waterfall Lounge were extremely moorish and equally as good as the one I had at the Raffles Hotel. Walking distance to People's Park Complex was a bonus. Although we did not walk there, Clark Quay would also be in walking distance. Unfortunately, this hotel is not close to the rail transport and as it rained each afternoon, it was always necessary to take a taxi into the centre of town. Also, I did not locate a convenience store close by which would have been handy for purchasing my own drinks etc.

Breakfast is the best I have seen in years. But a little expensive too, worth it's money though when you're hungry. Location is close to the bus stops, but the how to get where in which Bus is science in Singapore. Hotel staff is utmost friendly and willing to guide you. The pool is really nice especially in the Dark. The airco in the room is really quite and helps you to sleep in a comfortable climate, since it's always sticky in Singapore. Rooms are somewhat outdated, and like more Hotels the room photo's are photoshopped to make it look fancier. Cofee in the restaurant costs eur 7,50 , that says it all. The bath is the size to fit your kid into, just 1 at a time.
