The Location is great, very near a train/bus station, walking distance to shopping centres e.g Raffles City, Suntec etc. Booking web site should include arrival time so the hotel room can be ready on arrival. For visitors who have travelled on 14 hours flight, it is very unwelcoming and tiring for visitors to sit in the hotel lobby for hours waiting for the room to be ready.

THE location is nice and strategic. But that's the only plus point The service was extremely poor. Nobody answered our call to the front desk or room service. The front desk was only manned by a very composing and nice staff but she was overworked and alone. The management will have to speedily address these issues or lose out to possible repeat customers like me.

The hotel offers great value for money, is located centrally to anything you want to do in Singapore, has plenty of space in the room and bathroom, a great buffet, comfortable bar and when I was there, excellent evening entertainment. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I stayed there in 2007 and chose to stay again and enjoyed the same experience.

Great hotel. Execellent Service. Loved every minutes of the stay. The kids loved the pool too. Costs of Buffet breakfast was a bit high. Plus I had to pay for the kids meals as well.

5 star Lobby. Nightly music in the lobby bar with very talented female singers. I liked the interior design of the lifts (elevators). Good location for shopping. 3 star accommodation - tired and drab. Very Noisy Aircon, complained the first night as I couldn't sleep, and they said they would change my room next day; they didn'T....so I had to turn it off at night. Very small swimming pool, I like to swim every day, but the size and location was very unappealing. Very small bathroom, just enough room to enter as the door almost hits the wc. Staff mostly unfriendly, I thought I had become invisible when no-one wished me Good Morning until the 3rd Day.

Good room, well equipped. Poor service at the coffee shop. Some light bulbs not working in the room. I called for repair, but I was told that if will be repaired tomorrow !! quality/price rather low, but can we find better in Singapore? Maybe not.

The hotel's location is awesome. It takes on fifteen minutes to go to Chinatown or Suntec city center. It takes only 5 minute to go to City Hall MRT station. The telephone in my phone was malfunction. It only worked when the technician came to fix it and he wasn't interested in my problem. The television signal also is poor, which was very annoying. The internet is also slow. I could not watch YouTube there. :(

One block away to Raffles City shopping centre & mrt. Old hotel. Some renovations going on and this caused quite a strong construction smell in the corridors. Hotel's entrance is on a small lane (not main road) so this makes it difficult to get a taxi on non busy hours. Free WiFi in lobby area only and not in rooms (inconvenient for iPhone/iPad users). Some housekeeping staffs don't speak English at all.

Hotel room was not too bad but not so gorgeous. Our room was not available when we get there and had to wait around 2 hours.....we should have got in around 2pm. We asked front staff a few times when our room was ready they just said housekeeping was busy. After 2 hours they changed our room to let us in. The location was good but we always took taxi to go anywhere so if you don't use mrt, I don't recommend this hotel.

The freindliness and efficency of the staff was excellent. The location of the hotel was superb. It was walking distance to Clarkes Quay, China Town, Raffles shopping centre and Suntec shopping centre. The hotel had a shuttle bus to Orchard road. As our flight was in the night the hotel graciously allowed us to stay on three and a half hours after check out time. The entire staff made our stay over Christmas and New Year a very pleasant experience.

Check-in process was a breeze. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. They were also gracious in accommodating our request for late check out free of charge and even waived the cost of buffet breakfast. Maybe it was hotel's way of sharing the joy of the Christmas season but it certainly left a good impression on us.

Location was good ... It's not a 5 stars hotel to me ... More like 3 or the most 4stars. There is dead roach in the bathroom and the light in the room are rather dim. Insufficient staff at the reception and we need to wait to get the room. Security is not helpful at all, our card is not working and we asked for help from the security stuff to access to the lift. The security stuff just reply us by pointing to the reception and we need to q again.

Room rate included buffet breakfast and wired internet which was a good deal when compared with Swissotel The Stamford at the same rate with nothing. Hotel is very close to smrt City Hall station and with walking distance to Raffles Centre business area. Close to Singapore river eating out area. Hotel is due for renovation. Room size is small at its star rating. Bathroom is small and there was a rusty hole at the bottom of the bathtub, I wonder where the water would go, most probably causing mildows and germs underneath.

The staff is helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable e very well equiped. The food seems to be wonderful, yet I didn't taste it... It was only a single night. Location is very nice, near the underground and a walk distance from the marina area. The bathroom was little in size, but comfortable enough. For the price, could have breakfast included.

“The location of the hotel is in an excellent location, with easy walking distance of City Hall MRT also both Boat Quay & Clarke Quay are only a 5-10min stroll from the hotel. The hotel staff are extremely courteous and very helpfull. We always choose the Club Double room with access to the Sky Lounge which has a great view of the Marina & skyline. The rooms are well laid out & always clean.” Jon, Batam |

“As I was travelling with children over 12 years old, it was very difficult to find hotels that would accommodate 2 children in one room. But at Novotel I was allowed to have 2 children up to 16 years old in the parent's room. Hotel was easy access to most places of interest. Fantastic view from hotel room. ” Nivedita, London |
