It's nice ambience.

I booked a queen size bed for me and my husband and I was shocked when they gave me twin bed. My husband and I end up share one single bed on our weekend getaway. We are dissapointed.

Extra costs - service fees, taxes and very expensive meals. There were lots of restaurants and cafes nearby in the arab and chinese quarters, so we would recommend eating out.

Easy access to transport and convenient location for local food and shopping. Good size room.

Price did not include breakfast. Would have been nice to have breakfast in the hotel as it rained very heavily on one of the mornings we were there and it was impossible to go out.

The staff are helpful and courteous.

The hotel has excellent facilities and good concierges who are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, well equipped and spotless clean. As a place for business stays the Hotel is excellent.

Location is a bit far from the major attractions for people who like to walk (regarding the temperatures in Singapore). For single travellers the overall atmosphere can become a bit too cool and stylish.

The hotel pool is quite big and looks very romantic in the evening. The jacuzzi was a big relief after a tiring long day. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel which is very convenient and even the MRT station is 5-7 minutes walk away.

Though at the time of booking it mentions "children under 12 years stay free with the parents when using existing bedding" , they charged us separately for the breakfast of our 5 year old child. A similar thing was written in other hotels as well and we stayed at two of them in Kuala lumpur and bangkok, but we were not charged for child's breakfast at either of them. So, its recommended that one should confirm that well in advance, at the time of booking.
