The hotel was clean and the staff, although not very well good in English language, were very polite. Our room was cleaned everyday even if we were not around and yet, nothing was lost. They are very trustworthy. The location is about 10-15 minutes walk to Aljuneid Station but it was fun walking and strollng. Red district ambience is definitely not a factor to consider at all, since even if we stayed outside very late at night, it was safe! And for the budget-conscious, I will definitely recommend this hotel! There was no nearby McDo or KFC to eat breakfast at. Only 711 Stores. |

cheap, clean, secure and easy to get to from the airport for a stop-over. In a more interesting area than the clinical downtown part of Singapore. Great foodstalls in the area serving quite a mix of asian food for about $5 a plate. hotel is 10 mins walk from metro stop. I paid an extra $30 on arrival for a late (6pm) checkout, but the staff the next day didn't realise this until they woke me up and tried to check me out at 12, and also cancelled my room key. My extra time was then not used for sleeping as planned. grrr. |

Basic accomodation, but clean a pefectly serviceable, reflected in cheap price. you get what you pay for. Would not stay again as area outside is not good but this is not a reflection on the Hotel |

We were so impressed from our first booking that we booked a further 3 nights in this hotel! We were able to stay in the same room and re-checking in was completely hasseless. We remained impressed by the standards of cleanliness, facilities and staff presence. A very recomended 2* hotel! |

Everything! The staff were pleasant, curtious, welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. The facilities we more than adequate and the quality of room was outstanding for a 2* hotel. The cleanliness of the private and public areas was inquestionable and the location was ideal for our needs. We were so impressed we booked another 3 nights! Being in the red light district was no issues at all - it is infact one of the best areas in singapore for food and very easily accessable for the train service to other areas of singapore. |

Cheap, pretty clean rooms. Hot water. Air conditioning. Having a kettle in a room was a nice surprise for us. Though the hotel was located in a red light district it didn't cause any problems. Expensive Internet. The room wasn't cleaned properly (there was garbage in a bedside table).No toilet paper in a tray. There were no wall outlets of European type so we couldn't charge our mobile phones and cameras. The room was really tiny, but it's was not a big problem. |

Staffs are very cordial, rooms look decent for the price. I would recommend this hotel. May be the location itself beside the red light area. Though during my recent stay I have not noticed anything bad or odd. |

It's not easy finding a cheap stay in Singapore. The Fragrance Pearl offers clean rooms with adaequate beds for a fair price. If you intend to spend more time at the hotel than just the night that u sleep anyway, you might be disappointed. This is really just a room to sleep. no hotel services such as breakfast or community areas. A taxi ride to all important locations is around 5 S$. Local restaurants can be found all around the place to have fair priced dinner. The fact that the redlight district is just across the street did not cause any inconvenience. |

Although, area was red-light district it was really nice and there was good "mini food centers". The room was so small that it was hard to open luggage. Cleaning was not done properly and the airconditioning blew straight to the bed. |

Reviews mention that this hotel is in the red light district, yes but this fact didn't cause any concern to us. The hotel staff were helpful and stored a bag for us for three weeks with no problems. The rooms were clean with our only concern was the plastic mattress protectors meant that you had to place a towel under your sheets to sleep well. We will stay there again next trip. |

It is a reason price for a budget hotel in Singapore. The charge of SG$5.0 for 2 hours of wireless WiFi is suit for the usage of me. Small cockroachs in the bathroom. |

Hotel staff was basically helpful and friendly although they don't look friendly as much as those of above 3 star hotel do, and the price was quite ok. No slippers for indoor; it is very inconvenient after taking shower. Cocraches in the bathroom - they need take care of it. TV set is not that well tuned. The price of wireless internet service (18 SDG) needs to be put down; one might rather use an internet cafe nearby the hotel. |
