very near landmarks and shopping centers in singapore. very accessible. at the time of our stay, there were major repairs on the 13th floor. the hotel put us in the 14th floor so naturally, it was very noisy. ours was a pre-booked stay and i had hoped that they could have at least informed us ahead of time because it was really inconvenient to rest from 8am - 6pm. there were hammering and loud construction sounds all over. |

The pricing system of the Internet service is unfair... I stayed for four days and three nights and they charged me four full days of the internet usage which costs me around sgd100. I didn't use any Internet service at all during the fourth half day. The pricing plan has to be more flexible and reasonable. |

Location is center of the city. Accessible to major shopping and tourist areas. The on-going renovations from 9:30am till 4:40pm even on a sunday has really ruined my stay. So I advise travellers to check first which side of the 2 towers are undergoing renovation. I was at Excelsior side undergoing renovation which will continue until Dec. 2009. |

The location and the staff were excellent. The opening hours of the business centre are too short and it is closed on Sundays. Since I didn't have my laptop, I was forced to wait until 9am on Sunday for a nearby Internet Cafe to open so that I could check reservations and do my online check-in for my next flight. This meant we had a later than desired start to our Sunday sightseeeing, so it was very inconvenient. For this reason, I would not stay at this hotel again, unless the business centre opens on Sundays and has longer opening hours on other days. |

The attentiveness of the staff. Easy check-in/check-out process. Excellent location. Extremely limited menu for vegetarians. Initial confusion between entrance to the hotel, reception lobby and Club check-in. Club check-in procedure good but needs to be located either outside the lounge or separated from the bar and complimentary food area for the comfort and privacy of those already seated in the lounge. Wine measures need to be re-assessed...Europeans prefer a full glass please! |

The location was excellent and the view from the club floor (22nd floor) was simply breathtaking. The staff had been helpful throughout our stay. The air conditioning in the room was rather noisy, especially at high fan speed. |

location was good The entrance was old dirty and full of bags-not a big issue but the porters seemed overwhelmed and no-one was supervising Even though i had booked a double room when i arrived they said they didnt have. As thy were telling me this the receptionist speaking to another guest was asked do you wish twin or double this night. Basically someone in reservations had allocated without looking at the reservation details and reception followed blind. They covered by lying about the reservation saying they had not got info. As i am a hotelier i knew a lie. After 30 mins i finally got my room key And my double bed.Room. Toilet never seen toilet brush. Wall had handprints. Shower floor tiles dirty. Breakfast a noisy stampede-nightmare. And ever |

During our 4-night stay, there had been kind of unpleasant smell (stench?!) at the lobby and sometimes in the room too. |

Central Location, Very good club rooms, internet access, afternoon tea and coffee and drink in the Sky lounge in the evening with great views across the city.make sure you stay in the Peninsula tower though. Swimming Pool located next to the 5th floor lobby. You cant just sit and lounge by the pool with loads of people peering at you. This applies to the Peninsula Tower. I didnt actually go into the excelsior tower. Breakfast was a bit sameish every day and not great but adequate. |

It was close to almost all the places i wanted to visit like clarke quay, museums, shopping malls. Orchard road was just 5-10 mins away by cab. The room was excellent as well - newly renovated, good sized bed, lcd tv, couch near the window - all perfect for a weekend with my loved one as well as for a bit of studying. I was fortunate enough to get a corner room at the top floor so had good view of the Marina and downtown as well. Unfortunately, I was not able to try some of the restaurants as I was out almost all day but I might try that next time. There were some ants near the bathroom, though they were not present anywhere else so I did not really mind. Bed cover also needed a bit of dusting. |

This hotel was devided into 2 tower, first is Penninsular Tower and second is Excelsior Tower. The reason I reserve the hotel because it is Pennisular and 4 star but when I checked in I was assigned to stay at former Excelsior Hotel (tower) which is old and under renovation with noisy and stong thinner smell. I am very disappointed. |

The staff were excellent - and whilst I had no real issues at all one or two small matters were handled without fuss and fast. The lifts were slow but with current remodeling of one tower that was understandable. |

Located in a convenient part of the city. A friendly and luxurious escape after a day's sightseeing . Club rooms and breakfast/cocktails worth that bit extra. |

The price I paid is surely the think I did like most . The rooms are very comfortable and the Hotel is well located to public transport and to Singapore River walk. The rooms are OK but an upgrade is required to the access to the rooms (elevator - carpets - decoration of the corridors - etc) |
