Clean rooms and facilities. Floor manager was professional and polite when hearing my complaints (see What I didn't like).
Staff had trouble finding reservation, took 20 mins to check in. Staff member at concierge desk unwilling to listen to specific issue I had.
Nice view from my room. Clean and convenient.
Staff I was dealing with a bit new. Difficult to find a space to park my car. Telephone number on website need updating.
Service at arrival, breakfast not good, service in general was really disappointing. Waiting for hours for the elevator, no help from front desk for tickets or whatsoever, just rude service of a Chinese front desk person, etc etc.
Great location Friendly and dependable staff
Looking for hotels is never easy! My basics are location and a good breakfast too keep me going for the day and this place has both
It would be nice to have a bed in your hotel room that's not a rock
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The location allowed us to travel easily to multiple locations.
Placed our bags in the wrong tower after check out. Laundry was expensive. They should allow Internet access for the full day of check out as we did travel back to the hotel after check out due to late flights but our internet access was stopped.
The room was very comfortable, beautiful bay window seat overlooking the pool. The bed was harder than ours at home, but we actually had very good sleep. Very close to shopping, places of interest and public transport stations. Used the gym facilities.
We checked in early in the morning and there was a bit of a mix up with our room, we were given twin beds instead of double. Had to sort it out the next day, a bit disappointing considering we had to pay for the whole night.
We arrived later in the day and were greeted by courteous reception staff. Due to an error by the hotel our room was unavailable so we were immediately upgraded to one of the hotels top rooms. (22nd floor) for which we were most grateful. A highly recommended hotel, we indeed will use on our next visit to Singapore
Everything pertaining to accommodation was fine. Staff were fine.
Was not impressed with meal selections at night.
Good service, great location to every thing.
Compared to previous stays at this hotel it was a really basic room for more money.Wifi was terrible
Convenient transportation to the hotel and shopping.
Good access to everything
Very basic room
The view. Quick lifts. Good luggage help and storage for 2 weeks. Excellent hot water and shower. Appreciated large safe, dressing gowns and slippers.
Slow reception due to computer system - not the staff. We prefer blankets not doona and would like cotton or light weight blankets to be available in rooms.
Hubby and I stayed here three nights. Treated ourselves to an Executive room which entitled us to access to the sky lounge with free drinks and tapas each evening from 6-8pm. The view from our room on 20th floor was great. The view from the sky lounge was breathtaking and we had the best seat in the city to view the light show display each evening at 8pm from the marina bay hotel. The drinks were generous and the tapas were plentiful and delicious! Really enjoyed our stay and if I'm ever back in Singapore I would stay here again. Much thanks to all the staff who made our anniversary trip a memorable one.
Waiting for the lift but I'm just being picky!
Good speed free wi-fi and nice gym/pool are to work out and big lobby to sit and meet people. Close and walking distance to Chimes with nice bars and restaurants.
Not too much in reality. There are better places to stay at for less money.
I booked a non-smoking room with double bed. They give me smoking floor & 2 single beds, and said they were fully booked out and couldn't help me. There is very little space out front when car comes to pick you up, and guests cannot wait or else they get told to move along. The rooms are small and poky, and don't have an iron. Not useful if you come at 11pm, and have meeting the next day.
Convienent to everything friendly staff
Ive stayed there for 3 days on 2013 and really enjoyed it
They cancelled my booking and give me an option of havin the room for £200 additional..
spacious room (about 40 sq. m.?). good location. (almost) floor-to-ceiling windows. good location. efficient front desk service. did I mention good location?
glass shower door did not close. shower head leaks. poor soundproofing of front door.
Great location and very clean and nice hotel.
Could not believe how hard the bed was. Room 1311 bed is as hard as the floor
The location is great. At this time of year you can walk to a lot of the main tourist spots, and City Hall MRT is just round the corner. The staff were also very helpful.
The hotel is falling to peices. On our first night we had to change room twice, and changed for the 3rd time in the morning. The rooms on the 'Excelsior' side were dirty (crisps from previous guests all over the floor), with tiny bathrooms, cracked bath tubs and beds quite literally as hard as concrete. To top things off the noise from the elevator could be heard all down the corridor all through the night. To be fair, the room on the 'Peninsula' side was much better. In summary it seems to be complete hit and miss. So good luck. 'May the odds be ever in your favour'!!
The location including close to MRT The lifts are quick
The television was poor - selection of English language stations and picture quality appauling Wifi is NOT free if it is not efficient; like slow; poor connection to sites. This is 2014; without efficient internet the hotel could not operate itself efficiently; why should the service to guests be of any less quality. Lobby is very awkwardly placed; no assistance at the street drop off to get inside; up to lobby (4-5 floors!) or bags to room. The bathroom is cramped; the towels were located in a most awkward position . . suggestion . . get rid of the bath.
We booked a non smoking double room. When we got there the check in person said there were no non smoking double rooms left and we would either have to have a twin room or we'd have to upgrade the room at our expense :-(. She said the non smoking status was only "if available". That was not explicit in the booking and we are unhappy with the experience AVOID
