The staff were great, exceptionally proactive and the hotel had a lovely warm boutique feel right in the heart of little India. Loved it! |

An interesting hotel, with character, being a converted 'shop house' |

The location was excellent for exploring the sights of Singapore. Very easy to find your way around and convenient for all forms of transport. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and as I travelled with elderly parents this hotel was ideal. Maybe some sofas in the area between the breakfast room and the reception would be nice . |

Not very much. We were put in a ground floor room that was very basic and had virtually no windows, even though I had specifically asked for rooms with windows Poor breakfast and generally a poor standard of accommodation for £75 per night. |

The service was friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast offered was good to fortify us before setting out each day. Some of the rooms were very tight, good for one person perhaps but a bit small for two. Thankfully, we were able to move to a larger room. |

We found Perak Hotel to be in a good location. On the edge of Little India and very close to a bus stop. The best of both worlds. It is a lovely, comfortable little hotel. Our room had been upgraded so am not sure what the other room would have been like. Good breakfast. Free internet 7pm till 7am. The rest of the time a small charge. Cant think of anything. We were woken by the singing at the Mosque but it was actually quite nice.Best to take earplugs if staying at the weekend. |

It had a quaint old world charm, with excellent breakfast and helpful staff. The room could do with a waste paper basket, and the curtains could be thicker to block out the sunlight. |

The hotel is an attractive old building with character, in an interesting area. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and cooperative. |

It is a lovely friendly hotel in a pleasant part of Singapore, Little India, where there is lots of cheap food nearby, good bus and train access to the rest of the city and to further places such as the Botanic Gardens. Free internet and tea/coffee are provided throughout the day. |

I enjoy the location near Little India as I live in China. The place has character and the staff is extremely helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and I really appreciated the fresh fruit that I could take away. I booked a day tour to Melacca and everything went smoothly from pick--up to drop-off. This was my second stay and I know the third will be in the near future.. |

Clean rooms, helpful staff, free wireless, location. We did not find outside noise to be a problem (as some reviews suggested). Singapore hotels, in general, are way overpriced. |

they do not actually provide transport to/from the airport. this isn't a problem except they charge you to call the company which will collect you. think they charge enough for the room that they shouldn't charge you for this service |

I like the size of the hotel, it is more personal than the normal large corporate block. I have stayed at Perak Lodge (hotel) many times and in the last 2 years the price has gone from S$85 to S$145. In fairness though, the breakfast has improved and the new lcd television is a nice touch, but a remote control would be much more convenient. |

We had the noisiest hotel room ever and found it difficult to sleep. We were told that we had a luxury room but it was about 5 metres from a bar/restaurant that was open 'till 3am with constant air conditioning extracting next to our window. Our air conditioning bubbled and could not be used at night. Mosque woke us anyway at 5am. Constant external noise from road. No lounge area to relax |

Kind and helpful personel, clean, centrally located. Busy area and the lack of curtains, but still a good place to stay! |

Breakfast included; free wireless internet; very helpful and friendly staff; felt 'at home' Due to circumstances I slept in four different rooms. Neither of the bathrooms were clean. If you end up at the wrong wing of the hotel, the noise from the neighbours (Indians) and the Hindi Pub around the corner keeps you awake till 3 a.m. This is a two star hotel, so the price matches the stars, that's why I ticked price/quality as (just about) 'right'. |

Closeness to little india and downtown. Very noisy environment (music blaring until 4 am and crowd hanging out past 2 am on weekends) in rooms close to the street. Found it impossible to sleep. |
