The situation,well out of the city,but near Turf city which has been updated and is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, yet still retains a country feel with good bird watching..

Not suitable for guests who come to Singapore to shop as its too far from the City.

The staff was super accommodative. Due to no fault of theirs, a guest had fallen sick and was unable to check out from the hotel. First they offered us another hotel and a taxi fare there. After I explained that my daughter had a sports competition early on the following day, and that we'd prefer to stay with them, they arranged for a suite rooms vacant living room with two extra beds (which were fairly comfortable) for us. The staff also made extra effort to have breakfast ready for us at 6.30 even though normally their breakfast hours start at 7am. Whilst checking out, I asked the receptionist to call a taxi for us. Uncomplainingly she tried for an hour (it was very difficult to get one due to a heavy downpour). Would definitely recommend for a budget-minded travellers.

Room are clean and comfortable, but breakfast is worse.

Quite and peaceful place to stay.

It's quiet and I like someplace that is quiet. Green is also a big plus point.

Slightly dated building that may require frequent maintenance.

*Overall very poor management . * very poor service except two reception ladies * evening reception ( male ) very poor attitude * buffet is hopeless and waste our family's nice time to have a breakfast together * i have done few bookings with " booking.com '' this is the only Unsatisfactory place i ever got through "booking.com "

Setting is very pleasant and tropical. Breakfast buffet is varied every day and tasty. Local eateries and bus possibilities are very convenient.

We had to request change of sheets after 5 days (our stay was 10 days altogether) and also request the cleaning of the mouldy walls behind the bed and side tables. Both were done immediately.

Handuk yang saya dapatkan di dalam kamar sudah usang dan berlubang dan akhirnya saya meminta handuk yang baru. Saya harap selain pelayanan, kualitas dari fasilitas di Rider's lodge harus ditingkatkan.

Prachtig oud koloniaal gebouw wat naar onze mening op de foto's meer grandeur uitstraalde dan de kamers in het echt: klein en eenvoudig ingericht. Voldeed prima als stopover en slaaplokatie, maar geen bijzonder mooie lokatie wat we er wel bij verwacht hadden. Geen uitzicht over landerijen met grazende paarden, maar wel een grappig dorpje van sportscholen en een manege in de buurt. Prijs was heel redelijk, een aantal personeelsleden erg hulpvaardig maar anderen weer totaal niet.

Het ziet en klinkt erg koloniaal en landelijk, maar in werkelijkheid is het eenvoudig en niet erg landelijk met een shoppingmall met parkeergarage om de hoek.

A nice spot to escape from the city with a few food eateries nearby.

Dogs barking next door early in the mornings. Breakfast isn't what you would expect. Was given "Nasi Lemek", some cereal, pancakes, bread for toast. There isn't the "western" scrambled eggs, bacon or ham. So don't expect too much. It's edible but don't expect too much.

We were quite late when we went for the breakfast provided, it was almost nothing there. Luckily this Indian lady service staff offer to fry some omelettes for us.

Affordable. Good access to west side of city. Quiet area. Old colonial style building. Nice rooms. Free WiFi. Ample free parking on street.

Shower water pressure and hot water system very poor. Dog day care close by, can be noisy at times. No ceiling fan.

It's very green the neighbourhood, but it's little far from downtown, although public transport is excellent.

The heater for warm water was not working properly, the water was either cold or hot. It was impossible to set up properly. If you go late for breakfast, be ready to be satisfied with the rest. Anyhow only little quantity is on the table, you have to jump on the food when they bring it :)

Helemaal niets

niet - rookkamers die erg naar rook stonken. Onze baby begon ervan te hoesten, wat ze anders nog nooit gedaan had. Wij hadden zere keel na 1 nacht in de kamer. Personeel erg onvriendelijk. Zeer slecht ontbijt. Geen aflegruimte in badkamer. Douche die overstroomt. Zeer kleine kamer en badkamer. Thee en koffie in de kamer alleen zakjes met melk en suiker erin (3 in 1), dus geen normale thee en koffie te krijgen. Kamer lijkt schoon, maar voelt vies aan. Ouwe zooi. Moeilijk taxi te pakken te krijgen.

Internet (wifi) did not work, despite of several complaints. Finally, on the 2nd day I got access to "internal" network, but the guest network was still not reachable. 2. Breakfast is very modest, almost no fruits, always the same things.
