The red Chinese Opera decor and wood trimming. Also liked the location in Chinatown. The room was very noisy until early hours of the morning, room needs to be cheaper and guests need to be warned of the noise, would not recommend.

The staff was friendly. Wifi connectivity was good. The mattress in my room was in poor condition, the spring was broken. I changed my room, but the mattress still wasn't any better. The room was facing the street so was very noisy till late at night. Didn't get good sleep.

- Location - Service very friendly - Clean bed, sheets, pillow - Very very small room - i knew it and for me alone for 1 night it was absolutely ok, but for longer time and more than 1 person think about it that there is no proper space for your luggage - very simple breakfast, but this is typical for cheaper chinese hotels in singapore&malaysia - not very clean toilet - but i see that everywhere in singapore and malaysia, even in more expensive hotels, they seem not to pay attantion to it, but for me as European it is one big disadvantage if wc&bath are not properly cleaned!!!!! With the time after lot of travelling i am used to that but still cant understand why cheap is the same as dirty? Those are not synonyms!!!

Located in the heart of Singapore Chinatown. Plenty of food hawkers surrounding the establishment. Miss leading images from the internet to the actual place and room. It stated as newly refurbished place? The actual room that we got was maybe newly refurbished in 1970'S.

Good location and nice building Very thin walls - you hear everything. The room staff have loud radios to talk to each other and do this just outside your room every morning. Construction also took place in the morning in the rooms just opposite. Not a place for a good night's sleep! (And this has nothing to do with external noise)

The unique atmosphere and design of the Hotel, based on an old Chinese Opera House. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We intend to stay at this hotel in September, it was such good fun. The location was excellent for experiencing Hawker Stall Food and the joys of Chinatown. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. Nothing

- Location is excellent, 3 to 5 minutes until Chinatown mrt station. Bus stop is also very near. - Staff was friendly. Internet was OK (not the fastest one, but OK to use for some quick search). - The room was very small indeed, if you have a big suitcase, you will not be able to open it on the floor. But the room itself was quite clean. - The room was very noisy, but I always arrived so tired at the hotel that it didn't bother me. - All reviews I read at Booking were true, I´m not sure if I would stay on the same hotel again if I come back to Singapore, but I think it was a good value for money. - Towels are a bit old. - There's no division between the toilet and the shower, so everytime you take a shower, you make a big mess on the washroom. - The curtain of the shower has a lot of stains. It's bit disgusting. They should change it. This was the worst issue for me: trying to take a shower without touching the curtain.

The staff was friendly The hotel was very small! Overpriced! Designed like a house of prostitution in Shanghai in the late 1890s. Its design was not helpful to those with physical challenges or those over 50. It's room construction would be against the safety building codes in the USA.

Staff were very friendly. Very helpful. Free Wifi. In the middle of Chinatown. Tons of food and shopping right outside the hotel. It's quiet, cheap, feel pretty safe. It is very small, Bathroom is really small. But it's a budget friendly hotel, you expected it. I went with a back pack, by myself, so I'm good with my small room. But if you have a suitcase or luggage, it might be a little difficult. And no smoking room, that is probably a Con for many guests.
