Nice friendly staff. Be sure to have a copy of your booking, as they had no record of the booking. Breakfast was simple, but ok. Hard boiled eggs, and toast or muffins, cereals, cofffe, juice tea etc. 12 channels on the tv. mini fridge, and complimentry water. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were quiet. A/C worked great. Booked for 5 nights, checked out after 4 as plans changed, and they were going to charge me for the last day...early checkout penalty...but was able to get the fee waived though booking.com. The place was fully booked so i am sure that was why they waived the charge. I would definately stay there again. The rooms are incredibly small. There is about 1/2 metre of space around the bed to the walls. Laughably small,

Decent hotel, professional staff and close to nus, where I was working. Room was tiny. Was under construction during my visit. The included breakfast was very minimalist (eggs, toast, cols cereal or pre- packaged buns).

Hotel Staff was professional and friendly Horrible bed like sleeping on the floor very hard. Room way to small did not have enough room for my luggage. No iron board or alarm clock. Desk to small to work at and chair very uncomfortable. Not enough room in closet to hang clothes and only four hangers. Really ruined my trip to Singapore had to leave hotel because of poor conditions with the room and pain in my back from sleeping on the bed. Basically bed was a box spring with a very thin pillow top on top of the bed. There was no actual mattress on the bed just a small pillow top.

Good service and cleanliness can't ask for more. No complaints except the room size and comfort did not match the price. Also air Freshener smell was too strong.

Their location which is close to nus. However, there are a couple of other hotels right next door. They gave another guest my same room key by mistake. Fortunately, I was in the room when they entered. They require id, which they photocopy, of anyone who goes up to your room. They asked this of the two business men I was with so if this is a means to restrict "ladies of the night" from soliciting in their hotel, then they should show some common sense with this policy. (I'm a guy too and we were all wearing business attire and carrying briefcases). Their continental breakfast is fruit (apple or orange), two kinds of cereal, hard boiled eggs, several kinds of packaged buns, coffee or apple juice.

Proximity to my working place The room was extremely small with no place to keep the luggage. With queen size bed, there was hardly a place for one person to walk. There was leakage in the washroom. The walls of the rooms were dirty.

The staff are friendly and nice. The people/persons in charge of cleaning of the room are trustworthy because on our first day of stay, I forgot my jewellries (diamond ring and necklace). I was so nervous when I remembered about it when we were at the mall. Luckily when we returned, it was still in the bathrom exactly where I left the jewellries. They cleaned the room and bathroom but they were not tempted to get my jewellries. Kudos to all the staff of Santa Grand Hotel West Coast! :-)

Wifi Internet speed was good. I booked a non-smoking room. They gave a stinky smoking room without windows. I refused to take it and after 3 hours of waiting, they provided another room. Even though the room had a permenent smell from the carpet it was okay when you open the windows. Breakfast is too basic.

It was great value for money. It was a small one with an AC, a fridge, a good TV with a lot of channels and free wireless Internet. I used the Internet quite a bit and speeds were good. The TV had English channels such as HBO and it was a nice way of keeping myself occupied. Besides, it was really close to the NUS campus and there was complimentary breakfast and the staff helped me out by allowing an early check in for 30 SGD extra and giving me breakfast even on the fourth day of my stay. The room had no windows.
