Shangri-La Hotel Singapore  

Shangri-la has the wow factor. Plenty of lovely spaces to sit and talk in the lobby, have a cup of coffee or drink and soak up the atmosphere. All staff were friendly and willing to help in any way. Loved the Line and the Line shop. Their chocolates and cakes were addictive and proved useful for quick gifts. We enjoyed the pool, spa and sauna every day. Hard to tear ourselves away from the hotel. The Horizon premier room was extraordinary with a bathroom to die for. Using the l,Occtaine toileteries was a treat. The Horizon Club was perfect for family meetings and breakfast and happy hour became part of our day. Lovely, lovely memories. Well done people, you have I deed created a Shangri-La.

We booked it because I have had excellent experience with the luxury of this Asian hotel chain before, and it is located in a quiet location not far from the west end of Orchard Road. The hotel also has two excellent restaurants (Chinese, Japanese) in-house, and a good-sized pool.

It would have been fair if the hotel had a advised us that the garden wing is under renovation, which means construction noise at the pool seven days a week. Also, the hotel was not able to provide an additional be for our three-year old son during our stay.

Staff was great, and very helpful. Very nice hotel.

The location is slightly inconvenient, especiall when wet (as it was when we were there), but there are options, so no real problem.

As usual, the Shangri-La in Singapore was up to my usual high expectations. The staff were very courteous, the room was impeccable and they have one of the best hotel gyms of any I have visited. A buffet breakfast in their Line restaurant is a must do experience unless you also have the good fortune of a seat in the exclusive Summit room for guests of the Valley Wing.

Part of Shangri-La Singapore's charm is its seclusion and 2 minute drive from Orchard Rd. This does mean it is quite a long walk to the shopping district if you choose not to take their regular shuttle.

Great location close to Orchard road but it felt very serene. Great breakfast. Room was very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Pool was large and the pool area was pleasant to relax in.

Superb three day break - the service was outstanding.

Service was excellent, and staff were very helpful. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, but you can always get a taxi or use the hotel shuttle bus to the center of the town. I lived in the Garden wing, which is comparatively old and without Wi Fi coverage. Renovation is about to be taken to this part as I was told by the staff.

Shangri la Singapore must be one of the most beautiful hotels in the world!---------- Although a very large hotel, one is always made to feel very special. It is glamorous and beautiful, but nevertheless is able to give a feeling of relaxation and informality. --------The breakfast needs to be seen to be believed! Every cuisine imaginable! -------My husband and absolutely love The Horizon Club. A joy to watch the sun setting over Singapore with a Singapore Sling and exquisite canapes, Also, to be able to go up there and have a delightful snack during the day, -------Most importantly, the staff are exceptional. Everyone is so warm and friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble . Would you please convey our heartfelt thanks for all.

Excellent hotel.

No pub / cocktail bar in public areas.

The rooms, staff are kind, polite and attentive...food are great.

Do not have yet at this trip....KIV In future!!! :-)

Aircondition in the lobby during the convention time was very very poor.

The hotel is ex and the res staf wqas with me they was ex like mr mathus and the food was ex and the pric is very good and I will stay again in shangri la and today 18\5 I am travling from aukland to sydni and I booked in shangri la
