The attention of staff to your every need

Our stay at the Shangri La was superb. On arrival we were offered a reasonably priced upgrade to a suite and during our whole stay we could not have been provided with any better service. The staff were friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you. The room was absolutely delightful with every amenity you could imagine. The pool area was lovely too and we enjoyed a day sitting in the sunshine, they were doing building works to another area of the hotel but it did not disturb us at all. The staff were very informative with where to go and even arranged bookings for restaurants for us. When we return to Singapore we will definately stay there again.

The staff there are very polite, they have just the right balance between being polite, but not in your face. The pool is a very relaxing place to be. It was also a pleasure to come back to the hotel late in the evening, and catch the live band playing in the lobby bar.

Cozy and luxury neiborhood, very well trained and friendly personnel, comfortable pillows and beds, room- service is perfect, smoking rooms, good food. Just a short walk to the main shopping area. All the facilities in the room.

To guarantee early arrival accommodation I paid extra full day price, to have late departure a paid half day price for four hours. Not friendly

Shangri-la has the wow factor. Plenty of lovely spaces to sit and talk in the lobby, have a cup of coffee or drink and soak up the atmosphere. All staff were friendly and willing to help in any way. Loved the Line and the Line shop. Their chocolates and cakes were addictive and proved useful for quick gifts. We enjoyed the pool, spa and sauna every day. Hard to tear ourselves away from the hotel. The Horizon premier room was extraordinary with a bathroom to die for. Using the l,Occtaine toileteries was a treat. The Horizon Club was perfect for family meetings and breakfast and happy hour became part of our day. Lovely, lovely memories. Well done people, you have I deed created a Shangri-La.

The staff, especially the Filipino crew, was efficient & courteous. Little extras like welcome drinks, fruit of the day & complimentary bar. The atmosphere is elegant & sedate unlike the newer hotels which literally turn into a marketplace upon arrival.

For a five-star hotel, cleanliness should be non-negotiable. The bathroom had a lingering tobacco odor & dust flew from the reading lamp. Airport transfers meant they had that service but it was not indicated that it was not included in the price.

Great location close to Orchard road but it felt very serene. Great breakfast. Room was very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Pool was large and the pool area was pleasant to relax in.

Service was excellent, and staff were very helpful. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, but you can always get a taxi or use the hotel shuttle bus to the center of the town. I lived in the Garden wing, which is comparatively old and without Wi Fi coverage. Renovation is about to be taken to this part as I was told by the staff.

Being a Gold Circle member having a upgrade to the Valley Wing was a superb experience. The compllimentary loungse at Reception level was excellent. I look forwrd to stying there next time I am in Singapore. - Kind Reghards Nigel Bell

The rooms, staff are kind, polite and attentive...food are great.

Do not have yet at this trip....KIV In future!!! :-)

Aircondition in the lobby during the convention time was very very poor.
