its a convenient and quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle i wish the concierge would be more careful with my left luggage. They removed one item from a plastic bag without informing me and when I collected the luggage and the rest of the items and left for the airport, only then I realised the item was not there and it was still in the storeroom, tagged with my name, being left out. I had to rushed back from the airport to get it. At least they should be more alert in emptying the shelf where they put my luggage in the first place |

The family enjoyed the Elizabeth Hotel due it close proximity to the city, although it is not located in the heart of the city. Secure vehicle parking was another positive point as there is not a great deal of parking in the area. The staff were very friendly and always prepared to assist when requested. Early check-in was at an additional cost, even after I had sent an earlier email stating that our flight was arriving early. This has never occured to us in the past with other accommodation providers. |

Actually , I was only on a day stay on business trip. Since I arrived in the morning, the hotel staff upgraded me to executive room. I was very impressed with the room and very happy with it. It was so nice. |

the hotel is clean and quite near to shopping area. I don't appreciate when I arrived and my credit card was declined without reasons. I contacted Visa in Rome(Italy) and the confirmed me that they didn't register any operations from The Elizabeth Hotel in my coming day, but my credit card was active and without problems.I asked to the receptionist to try once more and the card was accepted regularly. Such inconveniences haven't to happen !! |

It was very adquate for our overnight transit stay, the room was comfortable, neat & tidy, has a nice pool to relex around and not to distant from Orchard Rd shops, but far enough away to hear no traffic noise. We did experience a problem booking out. Maybe it was just the inexperience of the desk clerk, or maybe because we did our booking online at the last minute and he did not have our confirmation papers from you. But he presented me with the overnight stay account the following morning, and insisted I pay the bill. I informed him that I paid online and he kept insisting that the booking online was just a reservation and I had to pay the Hotel direct. There was no supervisor to follow up with, so after quite an argument he reluctantly let us go after taking my email address and he aslo had a copy of my visa card. |

It was better than I expected. There are many reviews on this site that mention the aging rooms, musty smells, ragged carpets, stains, etc. However, we experienced none of this! Perhaps it depends on whether one gets a renovated room, as we did, or one of the lower floor, older rooms. The staff were great, check-in/checkout was quick and efficient, rooms were clean, air con was chillingly cool, the bed was very comfortable, the lighting and outlets more than sufficient, plenty of hot water. While the hill may be challenging for the extremely inert or physically handicapped, it really is not a problem for anybody remotely healthy. Plus, there is always a taxi ready to take you up or down, for just a couple of dollars. Breakfast was a bit tired. For instance, they could not prepare eggs or bacon to one's wishes, the breads and butter had a slightly "off" taste, as if stored in a stale refrigerator and there was not a great overall variety of items available. We put our robes in the laundry- they were never replaced and our traveling friends never received robes or slippers. Rooms are a bit small, but not uncomfortably so. Advertising "free mini-bar" a bit misleading, as it only included beverages, which meant soda, beer and water. Not what one generally considers a mini-bar. |

Given the reviews on this site I was expecting something a bit dour and beaten up. I was more than pleasantly surprised by every aspect. But do get the executive room package. A great room (Mine was 1210) plus free internet/laundry/mini bar, etc. The staff were very professional. This was our first trip to Singapore. Nice scenic outside lift. The bacon was way too crispy! It's a bit of a trek from the main road (although cutting through the York Hotel car park can shave off a minute or two!) As of the end of October 2009 there is some noisy construction going on during the day... And this looks to be ongoing for a long time to come... But who is in their hotel room during the day, eh? October in Singapore is very hot (and I live in Bangkok!) Take an umbrella and a cloth (and your walking shoes!) |

The room is not too small, water flow is strong enough to have a good shower. Location is within walking distance to shopping centres, although not very close. The hotel staff is not very supportive and cheerful. It takes a long time to get an information. For the airport transportation, I had to ask other hotel (I stayed there before) to book a taxi to the airport (this type of taxi specialised in airport transfer) |

Friendly house keeping staffs Was has been advertise in your web site on the accomodation cost did not reflect the true cost incured. Hotel reception charged me extra abt 130 sgd per room for Formula 1. I'm not Formula 1 fan & I came for business meeting with our Consultants. I will not stay at this Hotel in future. |

Wonderful reception staff who were ever friendly and helpful, and made our stay so very comfortable. "A smile" is so wonderful to receive every day!! Having magaged and trained reception staff in a large Medical practice, we have a saying "A smile confuses an approaching frown", and for me it is wonderful to be greeted by lovely reception staff. They are a credit to your hotel. Thank You. |
