Alibi M14 Hostel  

In the double room with private wc:was full of mould and yeast in the wall and smell so bad.i really can not belive how is it possible this hostel complete the terms and conditions of public hygiene. Also reception has not seperate room and was at the hall...so it is very noisy

great location, just in the very heart of ljubljana- about 1 minute walking from the triple bridges and main square. also very close to the bus and train station- 5 minutes on foot. right next to a big Mercure supermarket and SPAR supermarket. close to the information. small kitchen although it was enough for us to cook 3 meals for a day. stove, microwave, fridgirator, all nescesary kitchenware are available in the kitchen. two computers with free internet for guests use- free of charge. nice staff. double room is big, clean and good value for money. excellent wifi signal inside the room and in the hostel. The bottom line is that it is a great place just in the heart of ljubljana and its a great value for money!!

one girl at the reception was really unfriendly and not willing to help. she always look nervous. beside her all the reception staff was great. no common room with tv etc. the hostel is inside a building on 3rd floor without elevator so its a little bit hard to get with heavy luggage. reception is from 7 to 21 so you get a key to the main door of th hostel and buildings main door.

Bathroom was dirty, ventilation was bad, moisture is everywhere on the wall. Bed mattress was terribly soft.

The room price is quite reasonable. The location is OK. About 12-14 minutes of walk to the train station and 8 minutes of walk to the city center.

The room is small, it was hard for us to move when we put 2 luggages on the floor. The shared bathroom has no lock so everyone could come in while you are using the toilet. The old building has just finished the refurbishment and some remains of the refurbishment on the ceiling. The shared kitchen is outside of our room so it was unavoidable for us to hear the noise made by the kitchen users.

The location is good and the staff is polite. The price is good too. As general a good choice for a night or two.

A bit noisy - you can hear all that happens in the corridor as it is in your room.

Very good position in the city center; nice and kind staff; clean; cheap.

Very friendly staff, communication w them during reservation period was also good, and they were very prompt w answering my question by email. Location is near city center and bus&train station, so you don't have to worry about transport. Wi-fi was working all the time. Kitchen was clean and tidy. Room was okay, and bathroom in it was clean and non-smelly. One of the biggest pluses was that there was possibility to come and go whenever we wanted, cause when u get the key for the room, u get it for entrance in the building and the main hostel door also. Probably will book again, if I'll need to.

Entrance to the hostel is in a building block so my 1st thought was was did I gave my money for. And it has many stairs, since the hostel is situated on the 2nd floor. But in the end, the only major problem for me was the isolation (I'm a light sleeper so I heard the door bell every time someone rang and ppl laughing and talking in the hallway, and when passing by the room I stayed in).

Much noise by other guests after 23:00 just at my door and no attention by the staff to solve the problem.

Location was excellent, between the main train/bus terminal and the lively old town. Free wifi with enough signal in the room for our laptop (weak on Samsung galaxy though). Common room with computer terminal and table to sit and use wifi devices with full signal. Easy check-in and check-out. Reception always staffed (friendly too).

Another booking.com reviewer commented on a smelly drain. This was no exageration, the bathroom smell detracted from an otherwise fine place to stay. We felt it wasn't competively priced compared with other cities in Europe, but can't compare to other Slovenian accom. Very backpacker feeling, but it's a hostel, not a hotel ;-)

All receptionists were very friendly and helpful. there are also free maps and guidebooks. rooms are simple but have style and look nice and cosy. there are also cosy living room and well equiped kitchen. the hostel is perfectly situated between train station and center.

broken door in one of douche cabins,several hair on sheets.would be nice if there was some simple tea in the kitchen as shops in Ljubljana don't work on Sundays and close early.

Good location - convenient to railway station and city. Double room (with ensuite) was a generous size. Kitchen, laundry facilities. Seemed well organised.

Only downside was rather smelly drain hole in ensuite!

Up 57 stairs just to get to reception. So if youhave big/heavy bags forget it.

Staff is helpful and kindly.The room is clean. The location is very very good! It is close to the station and center of the city. There are many shops or restaurant. I think you can easily manage your trip . This hostel was comfortable .

Reasonable location, reasonably sized room.

No lights working on floor and only one in my bedroom - so fairly dark. No apologies made about this or any sign of attempted replacement bulbs!? 2 showers on floor - one was out of order, the other shower head was not able to attach to wall. Staff - variable. On several days not particulalry helpful like I would be accustomed to in hostels and barely pleasant.

We ended up for a night in Alibi M14, although we had read very negative reviews about it. When we got there we were stunned: everything was clean, spacious and brand new. We stayed in a private double room, so we don't know whether the dorms are different, but we have nothing bad to say about the place. Even the kitchen seemed very tidy.

Location was great! The roomwas clean.

The beds are noisy. There is no toilet for ladied.
