there was some renovation beside the hotel, and it was noisy but it's temporary.

Great location! Pool and gym were also nice and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and the room was very comfortable.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very obliging. The location for me was great although having paid for a lake view window my lake view was narrow between the roof of the pool and a building. To compensate in a way was a view of the alps and the monastry which was fabulous. The breakfast was outstanding and some of the other hotels I have stayed at during my trip could take a leaf from the Kompas Hotel with theirs and improve the variety.

My stay was not long enough so it looks like I will be back.

Awesome! Hotel crew was extremely kind, room has amazing view and pool - not big but comfortable - I liked it so much. Also fine breakfast included. Awesome hotel.

Young staff are nice and helpful

The lake view room I had only see a very small part of lake, mostly parking lot view and some other buildings blocking the lake, not as they showed in their official web. Sauna charge 10euro per person, unreasonable high and not been shown in their booking.com conditions.

You couldn`t control the heat in the rooms

Room is clean,balcony is too small(in our room),located is very good.

Pool is open from 9 am , and breakfast is until 9.30-you can go to the pool only with full stomach. When we want to drink coffee in the restaurant(hotel)bar at 8 pm, bar was closed-very disappointing.On the front desk man offered to us cooker to prepare coffee in room.Wi-fi is poor

Good room, although a little noisy in the morning as the room looked over the car park, and where the deliveries entered the hotel. (Room 610). Bath and shower worked well. Very helpful and friendly staff - dog made to feel welcome as well. Good location, only 2 mins from the lake side. Easy to park car and free. Good wellness facilities, pool, sauna, fitness room etc. Healthy breakfast, lots of choice. For breakfast buffet style works well.

Buffet style (Self service) dinner arrangement was like a rugby scrum at times, with guests rushing to get what they wanted and having to walk back and forth from your table to the buffet. Quality of the food at dinner was disappointing. Tasted as if the food had been cooked and then left keeping warm for some time, not what we had expected from a 4 star hotel. The Gala dinner on New Years Eve was also buffet style, which was also very disappointing, on an occasion like this the food should have been freshly served.

The hotel is advertised as a 4 star however it is currently, most definitely, not up to this standard. It is in desperate need of renovation. The feel is of a hotel stuck in the 1980'S. It seems to have been left to fall apart with neglect. Case in point the corridor where our room was situated had no lights at the end and was as dark as a cave(even during the day as there is no window at the end of the corridor), requiring that I use my mobile flash led to locate and open our room door! The staff, in general, are very morose but I gave them a fair score as they seem to have at least attempted to look like they were trying to be cheerful. This hotel was the low point of our two week holiday in Austria and Slovenia and almost ruined our stay in Slovenia. We were primarily misled by the 4 star classification and the photos of the rooms and premises, which most definitely do not convey the tacky and run down feel of the place. Please review the standard so that no other people are misled.

Hotel Kompas (4 stars) was closed, and we were transfered to hotel Lovec (4 stars superior). Personaly I prefer hotel Kompas, as I've been to hotel Kompas before.

My family stayed for two nights at Hotel Kompas and we absolutely loved it. We have an 18 month old who was treated very nicely by the staff. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant below the hotel and the food was superb. If you stay at this hotel, I strongly recommend also eating at the "Grill", which is just down the street.

The food was a bit overpriced at the restaurant, and our in-room phone did not work. Also, the room was extremely warm and we couldn't change the temperature. However, since it was November, opening the window solved the problem.

A wellness hotel should include at least the sauna into the price! For 150 Euro/day no one wants to pay extra for using the sauna.

This hotel was perfect for what I wanted in this holiday, it was walking distance to everything there is to see in Bled, the pool/wellness center is excellent, staff is VERY friendly, helpful and accomodating. I LOVED my room, it was very cozy, the WIFI was fast and free, bathroom was luxurious with oversized towels and robes available. Breakfast was included and very good. This was truly loads of value for the money. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone.

The ONLY thing I could say that was slightly hard to deal with were the Wellness center hours they don't open until 9:00am and close at noon until 15:00, but they are then open until 9:30pm. The changing rooms are also basically co-ed, which was a ittle disconcering.

I am quite disappointed at the views of the hotel. I booked a double room with lake view. But it turned out that when I was at the balcony of my room, I could only see a little bit of the lake. The lake view was blocked by the indoor swimming pool of the hotel. The view of most of the rooms (facing the lake) is blocked (unless you are staying at the top floor).

The staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel is centrally located on lake. We had a great view of the castle from our balcony.

Though we had no plans to go swimming, the pool looked very small.

Reception staff not particularly friendly and welcoming

Outstanding friendlyness of the reception especially,but also of the rest of the staff;they where helpful and comprehensive and also very friendly to our small dog. Very good breakfast,well furnished room,well functioning WiFi.

Location, although a little hard to get into driving.....beautiful view , bathroom very tiny but great bath towels!

Unwelcoming lobby...

It is located close the center of the city and very close to the lake. The view from the balcony to the lake and the castle was excellent.
