The location is perfect, on the beautiful river of Lubiana. The city center of Lubiana is full of bar, pubs and restaurants, so it's easy to find a ncie place for breakfast (not included) During the week-end you can find a free parking near the B&B (400 meters).
The wifi doesn't work very well and the reception isn't open 24h. If you take the mini-apartment, yuo'll find all the stuff useful for breakfast, except mugs :(
ottima posizione, arredamento moderno, staff cortese in dotazione: amenity kit in bagno, microonde e frigo in stanza. bellissima vista su fiume, città vecchia e castello. parcheggio low cost (16EUR//24H) a 100m dall'albergo. very good position in the city centre, nice furniture and kind staff. amenity kit in the bathroom and microwave and fridge in the room. very nice view on the the river, old town and castle. low cost parking (16 EUR//24H) close to the hotel.
attenzione unico neo: è situato al 3° piano senza ascensore con rampe di scale difficoltose per persone anziane o con disabilità. pls pay attention that the hotel is on the 3rd floor without elevator and the stair might be difficult to climb for elderly/disabled persons.
great location kind staff
very bad internet connection heating goes off during the night old towels
Best location and view, comfy bed, great bathroom.
Nothing really, the interior design could be warmer, but perfect place to stay.
The double room on the riverside os excellent. .
Staircases are damaged and some what need replacing. ..
Rooms are big, clean and bright. Staff is very helpful.
To 3rd floor of old city-palace without elevator with large luggage. But it goes... Cold. When we came first night around 19. room was really cold as radiators were turned down - and heating is centrally turned off around 20.00. This doesn't go well with +2 degree Celsius outside and is not comfortable!
The location is excelent, the room is modern, big and clean.
We could hear everything and everyone from the hall. The room door should be sound proof.
Every thing is Ok
There is not parking place. Public parking is a little bit far away. And You must pay for it.
We appreciated the kindness and willingness of the receptionists. The rooms were comfortable, clean and adequately equipped. The hotel was conveniently located and small details such as offered tea bags and sweets at the reception desk were a pleasant addition.
The behavior of hotel's owner was unfortunately very unpleasant and unprofessional. Immediately upon our arrival and completely without reason he arrogantly demanded that we refrain from being noisy and from smoking in the rooms. Assuming that only because we are in our mid-twenties we will behave like wild teenagers on a school field trip is unacceptable and not something I would expect to see in a decent hotel. The owner's attitude completely destroyed our otherwise good impression of the establishment.
a bit noise in the morning
Welcoming and nice reception personnel Good location Modern and light rooms
More expensive than a higher quality place at the other side of the river Low quality materials, towels not hotel-use quality and broken Bed not very good Very bad sound proofing at the room next to reception, woke up to all sounds No lift
Could not complain about anything just a minor grumble no lift to any steps especially if you have had a good evening out with a few drinks
Great location and lovely room. Staff were really helpful. Highly recommend it
- my room was big, big TV, big bed; - nice modern room - good location
- small window - such a pity I couldn't enjoy the view on the river - 3rd floor of a block of flats - without an elevator - pack light! :) - difficult to find - no staff present at the reception- very rare - no breakfast
Location, building itself
When rooms are being cleaned doors are left open filling environment with a smell
Rooms were modern and newly renovated, excellent location.
No elevator!!!!! Stairs to the third floor carrying your own bags!!!!!,
The location is great - right in the city center. Located in front of the river with beautiful view of the city and the castle. Its 5mins walk to the Triple Bridge and Main Square. A lot of great cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is big and comfortable. Sleeping comfort is great! They provide a microwave, plates/bowls, cutlery and a small dining table if you're having take away food. The bathroom is big and overall cleanliness is excellent. free wifi is available throughout the hotel. We read some reviews about the slow wifi - it never happened to us. It worked perfectly. Probably because of our room located next to the reception.
no elevators and you have to climb 3 flights of stairs. no private parking
In the morninig room is too bright.
Staff was very helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations. Room was very modern and pretty. Bed was comfortable and the water pressure was fabulous!
The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a residential building of sorts with wooden uneven stairs to climb. The floors in the room were very noisy and creaked whenever you walked on them, could hear the neighbors when they walked too.
very old building, there was no elevator to the third floor, the bed was not comfortable and creaked
Super trendy and clean, had all amenities you might need. Compact but enough space. Great location as well
A few stairs to get to the apartment but definitely not bad
This was our second time at Garelia River. Previously we had stayed in a studio, but this time we had a double room, which we preferred. More comfortable, more welcoming. The double room even had a microwave and a few plates etc.
As with the studio, very poor soundproofing through the room door, again the shower leaks into the bathroom which has no floor drain. Also, strangely, no ventilation is the bathroom. Very loud switches for bedside lights which will wake a sleeping partner.
Perfect location, central, riverside, in the artistic part of the centre. The building itself is lovely, especially if you like stairs. Modern, minimalist (maybe too minimalist) interior.
Shower leaks into the bathroom, which has no floor drain. Hard to find electric sockets, very loud switches for bedside lights - guaranteed to wake a sleeping partner. Interior design rather cold and a touch clinical. Very poor soundproofing through room door.
Bed, room layout, peaceful,
Carrying my case up and down the stairs. It would be helpful if the hotel offered a case carrying person.
We were greeted by a very surly young girl on reception who informed us that "she had expected us ages ago", seeing that check in is not till 14.00 and it was only 13.30 didn't really think this would be a problem. We unpacked and wait straight out. After using the toilet the following morning my husband was appalled to see human excrement coming up though the shower and seeping out onto the floor. We informed the reception staff immediately. She very accusingly suggested we had put something in the toilet to cause the problem (we had both used the toilet only once since arriving the day before) we assured her at this point that we had not put any of the items from the sign next to the toilet down it. She then said she would get a plumber and it would be sorted out in a couple of hours, at this point we were more than happy with the outcome and went out. Upon our return several hours later we were asked to move rooms as they weren’t sure how long it would take to rectify the problem. Again we were happy to do this, packed our stuff up and were then informed the alternative room was not quite ready yet, again we didn’t complain merely waited. Now unpacked for the second time we began to settle into the new room. However a mere half an hour later we were informed that the plumber had now been and we had to move back to the original room (we were only there for 4 days are now packing our stuff up for the 3rd time!) our patience was now wearing a little thin, especially when having packed up we were told the room wasn’t quite ready! But we could put our stuff back there anyway. At this point the surly girl on reception informed us that her boss had said we had to pay for the repair to the toilet.
