Central Hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Toilet paper was made of very hard paper. :-(

The hotel was ok, but noth worth four stars. The staff was friendly and breakfast pretty good.

The room was small and not so clean.

The staff were helpful (and had good English). Car parking is very secure and valet parked (you cannot access the car without a member of hotel staff). Excellent top floor pool and spa in the sister hotel 200 yards down the road.

The staff at breakfast could smile! This was more expensive per night than Austrian city hotels for the same standard, which surprised me.

Only the situation

This has been the worst hotel we had so far and we travel a lot. The breakfast was terrible. The coffee had an iron taste. The floor was sticky. The hotel is old and needs improvement. It also smelt very bad in our room. Go somewhere else. Only the situation is good.

We have chosen this hotel because it was close to railway station where my parents were taking train home. Both train station and downtown Ljubljana are at brief walking distance from the hotel. Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Hotel offered good choice of food at breakfast. We were also able to leave our car in garage for the rest of the day after we checked out of the hotel. If we go back to Ljubljana we would probably stay at the same hotel.

There was no wifi available in the room.

It was so much nice and kind staff. And, breakfast was good!

Very nice central hotel, good value for money, friendly staff

The hotel was in a great location which was a bonus as I was travelling by myself. The bus station was a 5 minute walk up the road, and I caught a bus there to go to Lake Bled which was very pretty and took about 75 minutes on the bus and when I got there it was a lovely 90 minute walk round the lake with the lovely traditional Lake Bled Cream cake. The town centre which was very pretty was another 5 minute walk from the hotel and had churches and plenty of bridges to walk around. All in all a lovely break and I would recommend the hotel.

Good value for money. I had a huge double room with sofa, decent satellite TV, a washroom that I could get into via two doors, connecting to a small hallway for the room. Clear, straightforward instructions at reception (neccessary when you've just arrived off a 23:30 train, having travelled from Split in Croatia!) and good breakfast next morning. Service was clear, friendly and precise, couldn't ask for more. Hotel's situation was perfect for getting to the train station next morning for a 09:00 train, but allowed me an early start and a short walk for a few hours ramble around the historic centre.
