Hotel Piran  

Great breakfast in the morning. Great restaurant food. Location great.Staff was really courteous and inviting. Great working air conditioning. Balcony great.

Staff has been very great.

Everything would be excellent except of a very strong cigarette smell in the room (No214) after som many visits of strong smokers. Anyway I thank for the friendly atmosphere.

No free internet

The balcony view of the seaside is worth a great deal...the view of Piran from the breakfast area on the fourth floor is even better...morning sunlight..take your camera along and sit outside. Breakfast is complete with many choices. The location in very compact Piran is outstanding..outside the entrance within a few minutes walk are a complete selection of restaurants and sights to enjoy. A free bus stop will take travelers to the pier or the bus station.

The furnitures and the windows are a little bit old and need to be renovated.

Breakfast was OK

Very unfriendly staff, alltough they did good business with us, because we paid in advance one double room for single use. The rooms are old en the airco doesn't work, only the first two meters of the rooms were cool. Because the center of Piran is not reachable for cars, the hotel organizes a shuttle service. But this is totally not organized and the staff doesn't do anything with complaints, and you have to pay 15 euro for parking out of the city. We made some suggestions to organize this. The location is near the coast and old city, but also near a discotheque, so you have a lot of noice in the evening/night and also early in the morning of people who are going to swim in the sea. Conclusion for us: overpriced hotel and the worst hotel during our roundtrip in Slovenia.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel (very central, near all restaurants) as well as the style of the building and the great view we had from our room.

I found the area to be a bit noisy: music going on late at night outside; people talking on the board walk very early in the morning. I also thought the room was missing some key "accessories" that could have made the stay more enjoyable: power plug to charge electronics; some shelves in the cupboard; shelf in the shower, mini-bar and air-co. It was also a bit pricy considering we had to pay 2 euros per hour for Wifi, 15 euros for parking on top of the room price and that the breakfast terrace had some dirty pigeons walking around.

The location was excellent, and the seaside view from the balcony was amazing! The breakfast was nice.

The only slightly frustrating downside to Piran is you cannot drive into the town and must pay to park on the outskirts. I did not know this ahead of time. But, there is a free bus that takes people from the parking complex to the downtown square -- very convenient.

There was a big down followed by a huge up....While already on hols elsewhere in Slovenia we heard from Hotel Piran saying they'd over-booked double rooms and wanted us to stay at their other hotel in another town! Panic. I asserted we wanted to stay there and why not offer us something else and next day they said we could stay. On arrival they'd upgraded us at no cost to their best studio suite with huge balcony and were sweetness itself throughout the stay. Wonderful hotel location and very friendly, helpful staff. Piran the town is fantastic and the no cars in Piran thing is not a problem.

Great location, friendly multi-lingual staff, excellent breakfast.

Although we booked a non smoking room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. After complaining about this, however, they gave us another room. The maintanence of the hotel was uneven. Also, the city of Piran does not allow visitors to enter with car, so prepare to park quite far away from the city center (Hotel Piran has a free shuttle service and there are free buses).

Great location on the waterfront in Piran. Piran is a must see town in Slovenia.

For the price, the rooms are very basic and run down. When we checked in the hotel staff had the wrong check in dates for our travelling party (despite our booking being correct on booking.com). Fortunately they had two available rooms. On the morning of check out we arranged a time with reception to be dropped at the local bus station by the hotel. When we checked out reception then told us the hotel driver was unavailable and we would have to walk.

Location & the view from the balcony. Just perfect.

Some rooms don't seem to have very good soundproofing, so light sleepers might find it hard to fall asleep for the noise outside the hotel. Some rooms do have better soundproofing. I personally had no trouble sleeping.
