In the heart of the seaside resort Portoroz, Grand Hotel is an exclusive 5-star property with a genuine Mediterranean flair with comfortable and well-furnished accommodations.
Score from 405 reviews Very good
Apollo Hotel is situated on a gentle slope close to the main promenade of Portoroz. It is surrounded by pine trees and offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with balconies.
Score from 343 reviews Excellent
Situated in the center of Portoroz above the main seaside promenade next to pine trees, Hotel Neptun features spacious rooms with air conditioning and balconies as well as spa services.
Score from 334 reviews Very good
The 4-star sister hotels, Slovenija and Riviera, boast an exclusive atmosphere and unique spa and conference facilities, enjoying a privileged location in the heart of Portoroz right by the sea.
Score from 372 reviews Very good
The hotel is old from the times of the Communist party. With modern standards it is not a 4 star hotel rather than a 3*. Staff with few exceptions was below average. Portoroz is fine but with almost nothing to do unless you are visiting on business and like to do a lot of outdoor activities (like running, bicycling, swimmin etc) and play at the casinos
Boring area, nothing special to do. Below average quality food in nearby restaurants. In general people were rude and not helpfull. Moody situation
Excellent location in the centre of town. Large indoor and outdoor pool area.
Hotel is badly in need of renovation. Breakfast and dinner leave a lot of room for improvement. Wi-fi is poor quality and you need to pick up a new password from the reception every day and it is only valid for one device. Room amenities and hotel facilities are not worth mentioning.
The hotel is clean and right next to the public beach which has sand. I wanted to have a sandy beach and it was within walking distance. My family and I spent every day there and it was perfect! We could walk just about everywhere from the Hotel and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from along the promenade. The Hotel restaurant makes the best Greek salad I have ever eaten!!
The beds were a little uncomfortable and more pillows would have been nice. However this didn't ruin my stay in any way.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, view
We'd been traveling for a few months by the time we arrived at Hotel Slovenia. We needed a break...and this was the perfect place to relax, take a few deep breaths, and get ready for the next journey. The spa was particularly energizing and the hotel staff were kind and helpful. Great place!
The hotel is just on the sea promenade in the center with shops and restaurants. 3 minutes to the beach by foot. Part of a complex of 5 hotels. The hotels' own pools can be directly reached from the Hotel Riviera or Slovenija. If there, you can enjoy a visit to Triest, Pirano or Pula, 3 countries from one point! Very good choice and quality of food for the whole day, it is worth having a half-board at least.
Wifi was hardly available in our room on the 1st floor. The room always smelled a little from the cleaning materials.
Problems with parking
The staff are friendly. Lovely pool. Excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner. Free wifi.
Lack of drinking water and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Having to pay for pool umberellas.
good view of Portoroz good access to pools and beach good expected breakfast and dinner nothing fancy just your basics
room next to riveira and casino is way too noisy. kids could not sleep till after 2
Very good buffet breakfast and dinner. Room and bathroom OK, quiet at nights, good WiFi. Small but clean and serviced beach (with grass), free for hotel guests but they charge for sunbeds and umbrellas. Free access to the SPA, perfect for rainy days. Free access to the gym, with state of the art Technogym machines.
Nice pool and spa area. Breakfast was good. Dinner was not so good, but satisfying. The buffet had a great variety of warm and cold dishes, both fish and meat, and different vegetables and salads. In other words; something for everyone. However, the quality of the food wasn't always very good. The meat was for instance often dry and without much taste. The dessert cakes were not very good (in my opinion)
The hotel was rather good, but I hated the place (Portoroz). Would rather stay in Piran or somewhere else. Free wifi, but terrible internet connection. Usually it was very slow, and sometimes it didn't work at all. No drinks included in the dinner. Also, they didn't serve coffee, so we always had to go somewhere else after dinner to get coffee.
Very good location, large rooms, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, nice pools with sea water and spa, very close to beach, all in all would recommend this hotel and will come again
Very noisy during the night (live music) from various restorants and pubs, wi-if not working everywhere, rooms need refurbishment.
The see view was very nice
The reception staff was unfriendly after i told them that one bed is bad. I asked few times to talk with there manager but no one contact me during 5 nights.
the food should be very much improved, the staff behavior should be improved, they have to learn more about tourism if they would like to have guests We paid city tax for a child even if we do not have children ?!
Excellent location in Portoroz. Great staff and cleaning. Enjoyed the hotel's halfboard with excellent breakfast and dinner. Super swimming facilities for both adults and children. Our 2nd at the hotel, we will come again.
Location, rich breakfast.
Location, lobby bar, staff
Beds, bathroom, aircondition, cleanless
The location of the hotel is perfect. Our room was on the 7 th floor and we had a great sea view. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. The swimming pools were nice. İt is a very good hotel. We recommend it.
Location, hotel quiet convenient for a family with young children.
The rooms we got had no view and furniture was a bit basic for a 4 star. The staff at the reception was ok but a smile does not hurt.
Everything was ok..
Aircondtion didnt work, room 803
ideal for real relaxation. pool whit sea whater is very nice and they have whirpool. if you like to walk you can go to the piran, nice place, about 40 minutes. if you like to see istra you can go by car to the all slovenia seaside or in croatia place porec, rovinj, pula...or trieste in italy.
We had a very nice time in Hotel Slovenia. Everyone was very nice and professional. We would like to use this opportunity to commend Masa that works at the reception, who was very client oriented and highly contributed to our extremely positive view of the hotel services.
Location, pool, sea view. Breakfast and dinner is OK.
Wifi only 1h/day free, but you can change MAC address. :))
