The Millhouse Bled

Friendly and helpful owners. Surprising and comfortble building.

Its a perfect place for your time in Slovenia - from there you can get any place easily or you can simply decide to stay and enjoy the surroundings, take a walk or bike ride to the beautiful lake of Bled and Sava Bohinjka river. You can also just rest in the beautiful backyard. Whatever your choice is, Paul and Dorthe will make it even more enjoyable.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Nice, spacious and comfortable room. Perfect location - close to Bled but not in the town. perfect for kids - river, goose, cats, bikes with quiet and safe surroundings.

This was a short stop for us on the way home from Venice. I wish we could have stayed longer. The area is beautiful and the accommodations were perfect! Dora and Paul were wonderful hosts and their guest house is immaculate. Comfortable rooms, games for the family, close to Lake Bled. Highly recommend!

Super friendly and welcoming staff!

Dorthe and Paul's mill is a very nice place to have a pleasant holiday. Everything was fine, rooms are simple and comfortable, kitchen and rest area are big and full of light. Village around is calm and pretty, with wonderful mountain views. Bled is 5 min. Drive.

Excellent accommodation, great atmosphere and truly exceptional hosts, had a fantastic time staying at the Millhouse with Dorthe and Paul.

Paul and Dorthe are a really friendly, layed-back & hospital couple looking to ensure that their guests stay is a nice one. The Inn is very nicely done - scenic country area, nice size and clean rooms, plenty of lounging area inside or in the beautiful garden. Nice attempt to preserve the old Mill in the new building! As a family of 4 (kids 5/7) the new football table was a hit as well! Would definitely recommend!

Location, owners, and facilities

The garden, the environment, the hospitality of personnel are very excellent. In brief, it's a paradise for someone who likes nature. It's very interesting to ride some bicycle, or hiking there. I will be come back if there is chance.

It will be perfect if there is a hair dryer in the room.

We really liked atmosphere of The Millhouse and of course friendliness of Paul and Dorthe. If you like to make a new friends and enjoy a friendly glass of good vine in the evening it is place for you. Perfect experience.

No hanger in the room. But it is really minor issue. We will come again and recommend this place to all.

A really positive experience. Paul and Dorthe were extremely helpful, welcoming and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Their recommendations of what to do in Bled were excellent which i think is priceless. It was more like staying with family friends than anything. The place is really new and in beautiful condition. All facilities are brand new and it is spotless. The use of the bikes is great and its a good way to see Bled. Wifi works really well. Being slightly out of town is not even an issue. You can ride or walk, it's very relaxing. I would recommend the Millhouse to anyone and already have. Go stay there and you won't regret it.

Wish I had stayed longer

Dorothy and Paul are excellent hosts and provide you with lots of local info about the national park. They say down with me and showed me lots of non touristic trails that were beautiful. It is a very comfortable and homely stay.

It is easier if you have a car staying there, but town is a few km by bike/walk and they will pick you up from the bus/train in bled.

The owners, Paul and Dorthe are friendly and helpful. They recommended us all the good places for hiking. They even gave us a lift to a restaurant which was unique. The neighbourhood is amazing. There are beautiful places to visit: lakes, waterfalls, rivers and mountains. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The dining table is huge and the atmosphere is very pleasant in the whole house.

Everything was super!

Great place, Paul and Dorithi are really amazing, feels like living in Slovenia and not just traveling there, the area is amazing and far from the tourists, which i liked. Even though we came with no car, we found it quite easy to reach everywhere, and thanks to Paul we didnt even have to use any taxi, since he was always ready to pick us up at anytime. Really recommend this place, and for sure would like to come back for another visit.

I actually loved it all...

We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the millhouse. We spent a fabulous evening around the large open plan kitchen diner sharing a few bottles of local wine with Paul , Dorthe & other guests swapping stories of what we had seen that day and where we were off to the next day. We are already planning our return trip - cant wait! Our two doggies were also made so welcome and had some fabulous walks in the surrounding countryside and along the river bank.

Paul and Dorthe are very nice people and they provide absolutely amazing accommodation. Not far from Bled you can find place with special atmosphere. You have to try it!!

By far some of the nicest people I have ever met and one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I would go back in a heartbeat, they treat you like family. You will not regret staying there.

Exceptional hosts and immaculate facility

Dorthe and Paul were very welcoming and made you feel right at home. The house itself was the most beautiful place we've stayed in Europe and the Gardens were just breathtaking. We enjoyed being close to Bled but not being right in the city. We will definitely come here again. All was wonderful

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the Millhouse!

Very tidy, stylish and new facilities and furniture. Well equipped kitchen. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, providing tips for the stay. The environment is astonishing.

If you are allergic to cats you might not want to choose this accomodation.

The place is really nice and charming, with a waterfall at the back of the house. The two householder Paul and Dorthe are really welcoming, they will provide you go tips to discover the area and also to avoid traffic jam. The room and bathroom are cleans, if you stay two days, they will clean the bathroom btw those two days. You can use the facility of the place : a big kitchen, barbecue. You have three big place to gather with your friends : the dining room, the living room and the terrrace. We were a group of six friends, and we all highly recommend this place.
