The modern Hotel Histrion is in a picturesque location in Portorož, surrounded by the sea and with a small yacht harbor.
Score from 341 reviews Good
The family-run Nuovo Albergo Centro is in the center of Trieste, 165 ft from the Grand Canal. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, less than half a mile from Trieste Central Train Station.
Score from 561 reviews Very good
Situated in the center of Portoroz above the main seaside promenade next to pine trees, Hotel Neptun features spacious rooms with air conditioning and balconies as well as spa services.
Score from 253 reviews Very good
Seaside Hotel Marko is located right in the center of Portoroz, only a few steps from the beach, and offers magnificent views of the sea. It also features free Wi-Fi.
Score from 833 reviews Excellent
1. Good food in the restaurant. 2. Swimming pools. Breda, Ljubljana
1. Bad TV reception (old apparatus). 2. No possibility for drying wet swimming clothes in the rooms without balcony. Breda, Ljubljana
Good location and environment. Wellness center is nice and clean.
Poor WIFI connection. Garage availability not presented at the front desk. Quality of beds could be upgraded.
Location Hotel stuff is kind In the price Spa is included Piran / Portorose are close – walking distance
The apartments are old and not in good condition at all Old TV (4:3) Bathroom is old/not clean The apartment in general is not clean For the price they charge they should offer you at least clean bathroom and some modest, but new furniture.
Excellent location, excellent accommodation and kind stuff. Good for couples with children.
Wi-fi should be free or already included in the price.
breakfast, cleanliness, shopping options
dinner, beach, the room was very dark, no place to hang beach towels/swimwear, parking was difficult as the hotel was full and the car-park couldn't cope with the number of cars.
I liked the pictures on their website (they get you excited, but when you arrive there...) Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Great location with potential.
Outdated, feels like 1984 Dirty carpet. No air conditioning. Poor internet connection over WiFi (2euros/day). Understaffed.
Pools are perfect with direct entrance to the sea and small buffet with excellent coffee. Breakfasts were also on quite good level. Free buss to Piran city is really pleasant and we use it more than one time.
Missing A/C in the room was surprise for me. Also for families with children could be disturbing every day evening program till 12:00 on the promenade.
Fantastic place, nice staff, great time spent here, want to come back again
missing air conditioning
The position is excellent, at walk distant from Piran, but with the typical plus of a big facility.
For the class of the hotel the TV set was just ok.
- price - spa pools - personel in reception
- paying for internet - dinning facility personel (to slow, not profesional)
The location near to Piran is the only good side to this hotel.
Hotel is very dated and needs some updating. To many people on one complex so breakfast time was a nightmare, no tables available, no cups for coffee. Not value for money.
i dont know maybe inside pool,,,
small room ,long distance from car park to hotel, meal was 60%good,smal old tv made 1980..,personal in restaurant not friendly always was table full loaded with dirty ware,,,was for me waste time and money,,,,
good view on the sea we asked on the reception to provide us a room with the view on the sea and they kindly suggest two rooms clean beach calm place close to beautiful city Piran where you can have a meal much cheaper than in Portorose (even closer to the hotel) very good breakfast and dinner good inside swimming pool
on the dinner not enough seafood chaise longue must be payed special attractions on the sea also aren't free
The location of this hotel is just perfect! The small villa concept is nice, it gives u more privacy. Price - quality ratio is good. Lots of fun options for kids.
No AC in the rooms - in hot weather the rooms oriented to south were like sauna. The rooms oriented into the garden r a bit better, but still quite hot. No fridge in the room. The breakfast and the dinner served in hotel Histrion (4*) are neither too tasty, nor too rich.
localization (Piran is 20 min walk, city center of Portoroz - as well)
Hotel was cleaned every day - but rooms still remained dirty (for example: old, not our socks under the bed). Balcony door was unable to locked (and it is very easy to get by a balcony from other apartments)
Friendly, helpful staff. We were upgraded to an apartment (kitchen/living room with pull-out bed plus bedroom and bathroom) and paid under 100 euros a night for the 4 of us with half board - good value. V. close to the sea and pool, which was just right for our young kids. Piran is a short mini-train ride away - I would say better to save money and enjoy proximity to water facilities in Portoroz rather than pay extra to be right in Piran. Day trip to Trieste highly recommended!
Food quality was 3 star and not better - so-so coffee, OK bread, etc. In the dining room, arrive early and sit in the section with sea view - the high ceilings and extra light make a big difference!
good location, nice resort with facilities, friendly staff
neccessity to pay for sun bed at the hotel pool (should be included in hotel price) room view over the shop parade, loud groups of (probably) locals that stayed below our windows and made noise until about 3-5am
nice friendly and good location
Staff is very unkind!
We arrived at 13.10 and were told our room was not ready till 14.00. We had the room number so waited by the door of the room, no one came out or in to the room. So the room was ready. At 14.00 I collected the key. The next day we were at the reception and a couple next to us were given their room key. Time 10.30. Room not as described in the hotel info. Dirty stained carpet instead of tiled floor, room 16 square meters, not 22 square meters Meal times mad scramble. Staff stressed out. On two occasions it was so bad we ate out in a local restaurant. No beach. although again hotel info said beach. Had to pay for sunbed and umbrellas at pool. A first anywhere in the world for us. All in all one of the worst experiences for a very long time.
The hotel is clean and the equipment quite new
This is not an individual hotel!!!, It serves only as a poor extension to the bigger hotel next door - it does not have its own reception or any other facilities. For everything (dinner, breakfast etc.) you must make a 200m trip in every kind of weather to hotel Bernardin - it is very uncomfortable while parking, carrying luggage etc. - it is clear that it was designed this way, it should not have three stars!!!! Beware - the pools on the pictures are not available for the hosts of this hotel - it is part of a completely different hotel - it is a very poor marketing trick. And just footnote - the advertised slippers which are mentioned to make you think of comfort never showed. Also nothing has been prepared during May - I would recommend coming later.
Breakfast and dinner was excellent.
WiFi work in my part of Hotel and you must pay for it.
The nice alley, and the view to the sea. Short walking distance to Piran and Portoroz through the beach. Cheeper part of the complex where my meeting was.
During this season there was not a reception on this annex and you must use the - nearby - of hotel Histrion, the 4* of the complex, using a long stair, or going arround to the another entrance. It was ok for me, but it will not be easy if you carry a heavy suit case (maybe you can ask for a clark boy).
Position of the facilities, good brekfast
The rooms are more likely like hospital rooms.. There is no picture on the walls
