Charming boutique hotel perfectly located in the historic district. The staff are welcoming and eager to help. Architecture is beautiful.
The bedding was washed with a strong detergent and can cause a slight skin allergic reaction.
We stayed in large, clean room. Hotel staff was helpful. Used the spa. We just had great time.
Everything about this hotel was excellent. Our room was quiet, the bed, bedding, robes all perfectly comfortable. The bathroom had high quality everything. The tub was long and deep, great for a soak. Good mini bar.
Beautiful room with quality furniture in beautiful area; rest of hotel also very pretty. Room price very modest.
Unfortunately, WiFi did not work at all, staff mentioned that Chrome and Mozilla browsers block it. First, this seems nonsensical, and second, if they know it already, why haven't they done anything about it yet? Furthermore, I asked for a glass of white wine in the Library Bar. No wine was on the menu, but the waiter happened to have a bottle open. I should have asked for the price in advance, which was my mistake, but in the end I paid 12 (twelve) euro 60 for it (0.2 l). Of course, I am in a 5 star hotel, I can afford it easily, but it feels as if you have stepped barefooted in a glass splinter in a further clean bathroom. I have never paid such an exorbitant price for a glass of wine from an already opened bottle of mediocre wine. I'd suggest to raise the room price by 10 euro and reduce the wine price to 6-8 at most. This was a long negative account but as I say, it is only a splinter of glass. Annoying, but it should not make you avoid this wonderful hotel (just ask for prices of wine in advance :-))
Rustic furniture, breakfast
This is a top hotel that deliberately seeks to provide a 5* experience. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and, whilst we didn't use many of the facilities during our one night stay, what we saw was impressive. The location was very good too near the edge of the old town.
Nothing; we wished we could have stayed longer.
We have been in the hotel for an entire week. Beside the convenient comfort of the hotel we were delighted in respect to the fantastic service. I had an accident and the concierce organized a date at a private clinic inclusive transfer. Staff member Lucia accompanied me during the stay at the clinic in order to translate and to take care for all administrative things. Great hospitality and excellent customer focused service. I strongly recommend this hotel. These guys are doing a great job.
Nice hotel , good location, lovely staff , special thanks to Jana.
The whole ambiance of the hotel - a lovely historic building right in the centre of things. It's a very nice restoration. The spa area is particularly atmospheric - covered in mosaics.
Internal rooms, while very nice, don't have a proper window - just a stained glass one (hiding the view), facing internally. No big problem though.
Good location downtown Bratislava, nice duplex appartment, nice restoration of an old buidling.
My room was in the back under the roof; it had windows towards the front oand back. None could be opened because a number of ventilators were continually making a lot of noise - even with closed windows I really could not sleep. Even though other colleagues didn't have this problem, that's unacceptably noisy for such a hotel and price. Couldn't sleep, really with negative impact on the two days I was there. Do ask not to have a room on the third floor nor towards the back. Was too tired to try the breakfast.
elegant hotel, excellent staff. From the moment we arrived they parked the car, looked after the lugguage, recommended an excellent restaurant. Great
Location and room were excellent
Facilities and food was average and breakfast was very poor and not worth the extra payment. With so many good places to eat nearby eat elsewhere . We were actually chased out into reception to pay £2 to have water with our Breakfast as it was not on offer in the buffet!!
The hotel is like a hidden gem, the decor and theme is amazing, for those like me who like boutique style hotels, this is one of the best I stayed in in years. Staff are very friendly, the location is ideal for city breaks, and the room standard is superb.. Would recommend it for any Bratislava visitor.
A bit hard to get to by car, as it's in the old town and most of the roads are not allowed in day time.
Great location. Very friendly staff.
The Staff is the best I have encountered
nothing. It's perfect
Lovely stylish hotel, very clean very comfortable, with cute little spa area. The location is perfect in a quiet little street in the heart of old city.excellent breakfast and the cappuccino for breakfast could even compete with any in Italy [although I don't understand why cappuccino in the bar could not even be compared with the one in breakfast room even though its expensive as if I had it in piazza navona for example]
The staff was a bit confused and even though they sent me an email after the booking confirmation offering an upgrade for 20 euro per night for a room with a view, which I accepted under condition to have twin beds instead of double, when we got there the bed was double and the view was to the inner concrete tunnel with strong noise produced by ventilation. When we complained the beds were separated but the 'view' stayed the same. It came out that the 'deluxe room' we first booked are actually what they called 'budget room' and which only had double bed which couldn't be made into twin. It would be useful if that was mentioned in the description of the room - delux doesn't mean budget nor standard.
This hotel really is special. Each room is different, the place is cozy and elegant, perfect location for getting anywhere by foot, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Bratislava!
Absolutely a 5 star hidden gem in Bratislava!
charging 10 eur/hour for late check-out, mainly to business travelers is ridiculous, 99% of 5 stars hotels they have a tolerance and provide this as a flexibility to their customers request/s !
This is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff. Absolutely perfect in every way. I am sorry i had to leave.
Very pleasant, stylish and comfortable place. Great spa facilities. Perfect location and personnel. Caring and helpful, most likely the best customer service I've experienced in Slovakia.
Very good breakfast choice although would consider a chilled corner as the ham/cheese were a bit dry when we arrived (to be fair we came down 30min before the finish)
The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect for sightseeing on foot. Minibar was well stocked, as well as a fruit bowl in the room. Reasonably priced. Stunning lobby area - possibly my favourite hotel!
Absolutely nothing! Only that I couldn't stay longer.
the hotel & the dinner
Breakfast was poorly staffed, somewhat hectic.
