Closeness to all sights and rail and coach stations
- Location - WiFi works fine - Breakfast with many options - View to the river, the castle and UFO bridge - Very friendly and helpful staff - Experience of sleeping on a boat
- Very small bathroom, but... is a boat. - Everything looks very old, although staff care about it - At the bar level, very strong smell of people smoking, what sometimes reaches the reception floor.
The view, the room!
I recomand this Botel. Its close to the city. The view is really beautiful and the price is good. The stuff was really nice and friendly. We arrived really late, but it was not a problem. I felt cold one night and the gave me a heater. It was really useful. On one night we wanted to go to the restaurant, but it was a party there and we didnt want to attend. We wanted to eat. The personal was helpful again. They orderd pizza for us and we were glad. I think the price is really good and we will definitly come back.
The breakast is very simple. Its not bad but you dont have many options. We had only 2 nights there, so it was ok for us. The bathroom is tiney tiney, but again, it didnt botherd us. We enjoyed our vacation. If you are peaky you may not like it, but its actually ok. The bed was not so comfty.
It's a boat Free WiFi Nice bar downstairs
It's a boat Peeling wallpaper, broken side table with dodgy DIY repair, electrical sockets hanging out of the wall, general state of disrepair and poor maintenance. The boat was resting on the riverbank and was slightly listing to one side - this meant the bathroom/wetroom flooded because the water ran away from the plug. They rented out the restaurant and terrace (directly above our suite, €70 a night) to a private party. Despite advertising the restaurant as closing at 11pm, and having a separate bar in the bottom of the boat that stayed open to 4am, the party continued above our heads until the early hours. Because of this, in the end at 1am, we were moved to a much smaller twin room. After much argument with the duty staff they gave us that night for free, which I feel is the least they could do. This was a pre-planned party and we were not warned about it or offered another room during the day to avert this situation. The duty staff also had no sympathy for our situation, and just kept saying "they have already paid for the party". I only got an apology the next morning, when I asked for one, although it was followed by a shrug. Don't stay in the suites on a Saturday night.
Not far from the old city Nice restaurant and breakfast in it Helpful staff
Not all lights in the room were working, and nobody tried to change it Not a very good bed
Close to the city centre - Most SNP, 10 minutes from the bus and tram stop, city centre is 15 minutes away on foot. On the river, nice view to the castle. Wi-fi is free. Small fridge in the room. Breakfast is included and there is a moderate choice - eggs, cheese, cereals, bread, fruit.
Common area smells strongly of Indian cuisine as the botel has an Indian restaurant on board. Toilet/bathroom had an odor. TV reception was extremely bad.
...for spending a weekend with friends. I doubt it would be different for longer period. I asume it is also great for celebrations!
No parking place. No wi-fi in room.
Good breakfast, awesome bar and DJ, helpful staff, good value for money, shower seat, movable beds
Small/damp bathroom, thin door to hallway
friendly staff, bar after 10pm with music, location
breakfast - boiled eggs older
Good wifi. Location. Staff.
No remote control for TV.
Good price and position.
They have to renew their old towels.
It's within short walking distance to city sights, although heed the warning that there's no parking - nearest parking is at nearby mall and it's expensive (about 30 euros for the night). Access from the road is very limited. I'm putting this on the positive side because this is clear from the Booking description... Just be aware! Accommodations were fairly well maintained, staff was very helpful and friendly. Our young girls loved the novelty of staying on a boat and the staff was kind to them as they explored. Breakfast was sufficient for our needs, with a beautiful view over the river and city from the restaurant. Overall a good value for the cost, especially when compared to other places this close to center in Bratislava.
Beds were not very comfortable, pillows were awful (bring your own). Lots of excess noise at night from the bar/restaurant overhead.
position on river
+ much space for a cabin + the boat swings only very rarely. + nice view from the restaurant +++ indian lunch buffet is delicious and very cheap - absolutely recommendable!
- furniture was a bit dated but still intact - sink was full of beard stubble - a defective bulb has been replaced on the next day
The position is perfect: near the hystorical center with a view of the castle. The reception is open h24 and all members of staff are very kindly. There is a tiny but nice bar inside.
Centrally located, directly beneath Bratislava Castle and a few minutes walk from the town. Cheap accomodation, clean, adequate breakfast and helpful staff.
Could do with a lot of modernisation! But then you can't expect luxury at the price you pay here.
excelent location and views, and adventurous stay for the kids, great potential
the equipment is falling apart, there was a wedding at night = restaurant was closed (nobod has warned of this beforehand) and the breakfast in the morning was not ready (staff appologizing that they had the wedding and styd up all the night). At breakfast, old crusty bread rolls were served, claiming that it is not possible to get fresh bakery on Sunday in Bratislava
Good breakfast, nice view, not so far from old city-center, wi-fi ok, rocking on the waves)
old and ragged linen, during rain the roof was leaking.
Helpful staff. Strong WiFi. Good location . View of the castle.
The location is good, and great view of the donau
the beds were a buit unconfortable, and was a bit hot
Great, friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Different experience. Totally worth the money
The location is excellent. Less than 15 minute walk into Old Town. 5 mins other direction takes you to lots of nice cafés/restaurants. The staff were lovely. Helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was okay on the one occasion we made it before ten. The room/toilet were cabin sized - it is a boat! But beds really comfortable and clean. We really loved staying here and would go back again.
No hair dryer. (I had taken my own luckily). Old tv which we didn't even try. Fridge didn't work nor did the air conditioning. The towels are a joke! 1 small bath towel between two & two hand towels all of which were grey with age and rough as sand paper (thin sandpaper). But you get what you pay for and it was really cheap. The whole boat is aging and tired but I still loved it and would go back again.
Close to old town. Great view on river.
Women from reception cheated me calling taxi which was 2 times more expensive. I noticed that she wrote discreetly information about commissions for hotel.
Excellent location Friendly staff Good prices Great experience
Rooms could do with a little bit od refurbishment
