Falkensteiner Hotel BratislavaPilarikova 5, 81103 Bratislava (Show map)
Superb,
Score from 77 reviews
“ The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Right in front of the hotel is a staircase, which takes you under the main street and in 3 min to the old town. There is also a bus stop out front. The gym has everything you need, open 7-23, but the real highlights are the sauna, steam room and relaxation room with a terrace looking straight at the Bratislava castle. ”

Group of 16 for stag weekend. Reception were excellent, had 3 rooms ready for early arrival. Rooms are very clean and well designed, nice having espesso machine. Superb bathroom and excellent shower. Bar area and staff were excellent too, very classy. Breakfast was very good too, mix of continental and hot breakfast. Couldnt fault anything on hotel. Staff were so helpful and not at all put off with having a stag party in hotel, we were made to feel very welcome, staff were very jovial. Excellent hotel.

The situation of the hotel close to the old town and the castle. The confort of the room is ok with a nespresso machine, maybe a little small for 2. The spa area on the top floor is nice, free of charge and open from 7 till 23.

Location is great, almost in old town 1. Very expensive parking - for Bratislava the price is an exorbitant 2. No wifi in rooms. Are you serious?

Friendly, helpful staff. Key cards were a pain, failed to operate about 6 times during 2 night stay so had to go back to reception and get it re-programmed / replaced.

The gym has everything you need, open 7-23, but the real highlights are the sauna, steam room and relaxation room with a terrace looking straight at the Bratislava castle. Absolutely beautiful and the best way to relax after a night out. Parking was the quoted price extra but even then, the price was half of some of the other "luxury" hotels such as the Sheraton or Kempinski. Obviously this might not have the name but the quality was just as high and the location much better. Service was perfect as well. Their only downfall is they have limited pictures on the web, which show you how nice the place really is. One side note, I did not have the breakfast and we just grabbed something simple in town.

The room comfort is good, except: This has been a dreadful stay at this hotel. I spend over 150 hotel nights a year, this was my worst. At arrival, the room temperature was way too hot. After complaining at the desk, they advised to open my window. Late at night, the temperature was still too hot, so (trying) to sleep with open windows on a busy Fridat night, just opposite the bus station. No Sleeping! After some hours, we closed the windows, and then it became too hot again. No sleep that night. When I complained next day, the reception said that there were more complaints: the management did not want to turn the AC on at floor 3 and higher!!!!! No Falkensteiner for me anymore.
