Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras  

The hotel has a wonderful spot, with a great panorama to the lake and the Tatra mountains. Interior design is nice, rooms are quite large and the staff is always helpful.

The spa area is relatively small and pretty crowded. There are many families with small children that can be disturbing, if someone wants to relax. Furthermore the service in the Spa bar is slow, it can take 45+ minutes until one gets a salad or a sandwich.

Very luxurious - love the log fires and the furniture! Bedroom lovely. Spa is wonderful. Reasonable gym. Great, well chosen library - I like the concept of paying for books that you wish to take out but can read whatever you want while you stay - makes sense to me.

1. I dont think that concerts should be organised in the reception lobby and hotel guests who are already paying a lot of money need to pay extra to attend. You could argue that the bar was too noisy to be used practically. People dont like paying "extra" - just include it as a benefit and generate the goodwill and repeat bookings that would go with that. 2. The power of the shower was too much for the drainage system in my room - should be solved. 3. I dont think that hotels should "play" with the tissue paper. Companies like Kleenex etc have perfected a very hygeinic system whereby if you take one tissue out, the next one comes out automatically. Having grubby hands carry out "origami" on the tissues to create some sort of flower creates 2 issues - (i) There is tendency that a chunk of tissues come out together - waste of paper or are deliberately thrown out (waste of paper) (ii) The tissues are no longer hygeinic 4. Would be good to have more English / foreign newspapers around.

Amazing location in the heart of Tatra Mountains. Lake-view rooms are best option but valley-view ones are not bad too. Rooms are clean. Junior suite has goods size Bathroom is just perfect. Hotel is 2-3 years old but looks like brand new. It’s extremely clean. Décor corresponds with building style, it’s history and natural environment. Staff and services are on highest level. I traveled the world and visited many 5* places but Kempinski climbs to it’s own level. Discreet and quick service support by highest quality. SPA is amazing. There is nothing better than relax by the pool, laying on king-size sofas after all day mountaineering watching clouds passing by Tatra Mountians. One of my best stays ever.

Village is a bit small, a such, there are not too many alternatives to eat. Even though quality of food is perfect, the prices of catering in Kempinski are high and portions are small. I had my own bikes but what I would like to see is a good quality bikes and ski equipment rental place in the area. Just to make a comment, as others did too: Mr Hotel Manager, parking your BMW X5 all day long directly in front of hotel entrance, disabling guests to load / unload their cars is not best customer service practice, isn’t it.

Las instalaciones son magnificas, tanto la habitacion, espaciosa y funcional, como las zonas comunes, en particular la zona de spa. El servicio, excepcional, atento siempre y muy profesional. Muy recomendable

Es hat ganz einfach alles gestimmt! Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts! Sauberkeit 1A! Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Das Schönste war, an einem regnerischen Tag im Spa zu relaxen, es war einfach wunderschön!

Es gibt einfach nichts zum aussetzen! Ich fand es nur etwas übertrieben, 2 x täglich die Handtücher zu wechseln.

Piękny I przytulny pokój z pięknym widokiem. Piękny basen z olbrzymim jaccuzi. Wspaniałe widoki I doskonałe położenie nad jeziorem w sercu wysokich tatr.

Restauracja hotelowa jest zdecydowanie zbyt droga w stosunku do jakości potraw, która jest przeciętna. Potwornie drogie alkohole, w restauracji I barze. Na śniadanie jajecznica o dziwnym smaku I konsystencji jak z proszku.
