Please do not visit. Theres literally nothing to see here.
Please do not visit. Theres literally nothing to see here. In the neighbour town Bojnice theres a zoo and the Bojnice castle. While the castle is okay, the zoo is not worth seeing. Bonus is overpriced parking. From 7 to 12 euros near the castle. No possibility to park in Bojnice town.

The city itself may be nothing... but as a cheaper...
The city itself may be nothing... but as a cheaper alternative for Bojnice for sure, with more accomodation and shopping facilities. Frequent and cheap buses make connection with it, accessing the famous castle, zoo and spa directly. Or just take a train or bus into the mountains, if you prefer hiking.

The microwave in the corridor with plates and cutlery was a bonus. There was always a good supply of hot water. We found the location convenient as it was an easy level walk to both the train and bus station and also it was possible to walk across the river to Bojnice castle. There are two large supermarkets next door.

A nice park/wood encircles the property from one side and fields are on the other side. Reaching the castle is 20-minutes walk but Prievidza is about 40 minutes by foot. Owner barely spoke English but was hospitable. Very good money for value.
