The family-run Penzion Drak guesthouse can be found in Liptovský Mikuláš, between the peaks of the High and Low Tatra Mountains and offers fine cuisine and great spa facilities. Penzion Drak is situated near the main road from Liptovský Mikuláš to the Demanova valley, close to Jasna, which is the biggest ski center in Slovakia. After a great day out in the fresh mountain air, the spa facilities with a steam bath, a Finnish sauna and a jacuzzi invite you to relax. The Penzion Drak's restaurant serves high-quality Slovak cuisine and the bar with a fireplace is a great place to enjoy your favorite drink. There is also a children's play area and a pool table. The quality of everything. Care for the details. Style. The whole house has a very pleasent, unique atmosphere. Service and food was excellent in the restaurant. Staff did not speak English well enough.

Pension Drak is small family run hotel conveniently located at the start of Demanova valley providing easy access to all interesting tourist sites/attractions in region Liptov, Low and High Tatras - mountains, caves, thermal spas, rafting, skiing, bicycling, fishing/angeling etc. Drak is famous for it's excuisive cuisine - menu is reasonably selected and quality of served food is excellent.Rooms are clean, spacious - some with balconies, restaurant and bar are spacious, there is possibility to eat outside at the terace during warmer days, otherwise you could enjoy fireplace and anytime small fitness, sauna, jacuzzi. Wifi internet in the whole hotel free of charge, outside space for kids/playground as well as parking place for cars available. It will be nice to have at least small regrigerator in the room - handy especially during summer days and more comfortable furniture - small armchairs, couch as the rooms are large enough.

The hotel is perfectly situated if you want to explore the Demanovska Valley and its amazing caves. It was very easy to find and our welcome was very friendly. Our room (twin) was comfortably spacious, clean and very quiet. The bathroom was well-appointed and, again, very large. As our stay was very short (just one night) and our plans forced us to leave very early in the morning we didn't really have the chance to take advantage of the hotel's restaurant but it definitely looked inviting. Last but not least, the price was really good... Our feeling was that the owners could easily charge more for the standards offered - cheers to them for not choosing to do so!

- friendly & hospitable staff, excellent food, very close to ski area on Chopok, clean and comfortable Booking.com web page says that it's required to pay in cash for the booking while actually the fee was taken from my credit card during booking process; Not a problem at all :)

To sum up the stay was amazing. The staff were first class especially Miraslava and Rado. I would like to especially mention the food which was the best I have had past my lips, the steak was far superior than what is available in the UK at the price and the presentation would earn them michelin stars. The hotel was clean extremely modern and for those that rate the bathroom, then first class. Star wise its underrated. Penzion Drak you have a first clas hotel and I would love to stay again! Nothing about the hotel, however if you stay in Slovakia then beware the Taxi drivers, even the supposedly recommended ones are unreliable. If you have to book a taxi for the early hours make sure you have a plan for if it doesnt turn up. For a nation that is clearly making the effort for tourists thats makes it a wonderful place to stay, the Taxi drivers are the weak link.

A great place to stay when you go skiing in Jasna. First there's a very convenient shuttle to the ski resort, a very nice jacuzzi for after ski, and very good restaurant. Not to mention breakfast with delicious Croissant. Too bad the bar close at 10 PM.

All was perfect. Great food in restaurant, Welness center just for 10EUR per person with Sauna, Turkish sauna and jacuzi. The hotel guy bringed our company to Jasna for skiing each day of our staying and picked up after all day of skiing - and it's for free. Rooms are guite big and clean. Bar and restaurant should be opened abit longer. Now restaurant cloeses at 9 o'clock an the bar at 10 o'clock in the evening.

The very comfortable room, everything was good quality. Also the free transfers to Jasna Chopok were v good. Not much! Buses back to Liptovsky Mikulas were not very frequent.
