Set below Bratislava Castle the Ibis Bratislava Centrum is only a 5-minute walk from the historic quarter. Rooms have air conditioning and breakfast is served from 4am to 12pm.
Score from 1337 reviews Very good
First of all, everybody is wrong about the mattresses. They were the best I've ever slept on--clouds of heaven. Second, the layout is brilliant--they keep public areas and private areas separate with curtains, and they have the toilet in the front with a bathroom in the back, so it's great for entertaining. They have a full (albeit small) kitchen that is stocked will all sorts of pots and pans and utensils. They're out of the city (in a nicer area) but it's a 10 minute walk max to all of the action. The gym is tiny but good enough, and there's plenty of parking.
The microwave/oven was really difficult to figure out, and will turn on when you open the door (I think I microwaved my hand about 5 times). The worst part of the hotel is that there are no chain locks on the doors, and no 'Do not Disturb' signs, so if you happen to like walking around...less than dressed...be prepared for housekeeping to walk in on you, because they do a cursory knock and then barrel in.
very unfriendly staff (reception)
I was really impressed by the good and helpful staff especially at reception. Well done. The view from the room is unbeatable. Bratislava Castle was beautiful especially during the night. Room/apartment was comfortable and spacious. Wifi signal was good even tough it was weak in some spots like from bed. There is bus 208 which starts and ends just outside the hotel so location wise is not a problem. I walked it to center in 20-30 minutes at easy pace. I would suggest to visit the Slavín War Memorial which is just a few minutes walk from hotel, on a steep hill but is worth it.
The free coffee at lobby was always quite cold. Could be changed more regularly. TV was very limited and the few English speaking channels had bad reception. More utensils in kitchen could have helped. I did not have a frying pan for instance.
Cost of parking lot
Spacious apartments, free coffee
Clean, spacious room, comfortable, nicely furnished, great view over the castle
It was cold in the room - none of the radiators was working, the staff was unable to help, we had to manage on our own
Huge, clean and comfortable
Overpriced breakfast if you need someone
Clean, comfortable and good value for money.
big and clean apartment
All, location, confort, faclities...
I have not received the welcome drink according the reservation form.
The size of the room was great and had everything I needed. It was nice to walk into music playing. Quiet location and very close to a lovely bistro.
Toilet seat seemed to be not attached properly. A little far out when walking back from the centre by yourself at night, but never had any trouble.
Great location a short walk from the old city up a hill, and located in a nice neighborhood. Wonderful views of the old town and castle from the top floor rooms. Very cosy lobby with candles, tea and coffee. Nice little gym and sauna, sitting area downstairs. Amazing customer service, particularly one of the young ladies at reception, the best we have encountered in Europe. Great value for money and wonderful apartment to stay in Bratislava.
- perfect location - nice staff - nice view - breakfast at strange morning time together with staff with smile
- continental breakfast is a bit humdrum
Very friendly stuff and excellent location.
Excellent staff and comunication Very helpfull Miss "employee of year" was great
The hotel is amazing. One of the best I ever been.
Location The room is huge Very comfortable for a long stay Staff was extremely helpful
The shower was great, but it wets the whole bathroom. Not a big deal though.
Nice staff, big clean bright room with a nice atmosphere
Minor things, but the bed had two mattresses that were separated during the night, the kitchen is lackluster with not even a pot and the TV has a small variety of channels
We got a half price deal for a room and it made our weekend getaway to Bratislava perfect. The room was huge, clean, modern and nicely decorated. Huge bathroom with a proper shower and a separate bathtub. Separate toilet too. The best thing was the view from the windows with a castle and city panorama. Wonderful place, would totally recommend to others and go again myself. Wifi works very well. Nice and polite staff. The hotel is a short walk away from the old town on a small hill (not steep though, especially compared to the Buda side of Budapest where I come from).
No coffee in the room, but we got a big, very good Finnish-style coffee for free in the reception in the morning when we left.
The location was very convenient Apartment was very clean and comfortable.
Coffee machine had no filter and complimentary coffee would have been goog
Receptionist was amazing! So friendly an helpful. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived she called up to get it done asap an even gave us some free Slovakian chocolate for waiting. For the price it's amazing value. Comfy clean bed. Nice bathroom. Good kitchen. Shops near by so can cook all your meals if you wanted to save money. Has washer and dryer free of charge and has mini gym an sauna too
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the place can't fault it. Just wasn't a big fan of the city itself not much to do.
Stunning apartments - the best of the five different ones we stayed in during a five country trip. The staff were really helpful - they kindly let us check in really early after arriving into the city on a sleeper train. The apartments are stunning - super modern, wifi, massive beds, fab bathroom and shower, decent-sized kitchen and living room spaces, tv, radio etc etc etc. Everything you could possibly want.
I probably wouldn't recommend for wheelchair users or those with buggies/young kids as it was a wee walk up a (not very steep) hill to get there however.
spa was excellent
big, comfortable bed super-friendly staff nice view from the window upgrade to a better room tea/coffee in the lobby great wifi connection
only soap available in the bathroom, I would expect shampoo/balm
Modern design, all in as-new condition. Mini kitchen with fridge stocked with drinks (mini-bar) which were reasonably priced. Very helpful staff.
