Area information

As it has been for many centuries, the city still is a unique spa centre providing clean air and the lush green forests of Teplicka and Trencianska Vrchovina (Highlands).

The spa in Trencianske Teplice belongs to the oldest in Slovakia. You can enjoy curative and relaxing treatments as well as nice walks around the city having a coffee in one of the cosy cafeterias. A walk along the promenade leading to the lake can be also very pleasant.

All treatments are based on the use of sulphurous mud and natural water and aim either at treating degenerative and inflammatory joint diseases, rheumatism, almost all neurological diseases (except epilepsy), orthopaedic post-operative and after-fracture conditions. Treatments also regulate the balance of the body muscular system.

The beautiful surroundings of Trencianske Teplice offers interesting opportunities for relaxing walks or hiking and you can also go sightseeing to nearby Trencin castle (15 km), to Beckov castle (40 km) and Cachtice castle (45 km).
