Pension Vila Mery    

Very good value for money, with friendly and helpful staff.

This place is located at a calm and picturesque street. There is a cozy garden with BBQ and playground for your children. Poprad is a quiet town. We didn't notice any active life late in the evening. Also you can go to aquapark in this town. Our apartment was clean and roomy with kitchen and big bathroom..The living room was large with big bed. The hostess is friendly and pleasant woman. In Pension Vila Mery you feel that everything is done with love and care.

Nice owners, nice facilities, pleasant atmosphere

Villa Mery is located in very quiet place and that is quite important for us, as well as "parking" in the yard. People who own this business also live there and are very friendly. So we were quite happy with our stay.

Excellent room. Clean and modern decor. Even a kettle in the room, but no tea or coffee! Breakfast nice and tasty. Hot selection available too. For the price, this pension offers excellent value, and only ten minutes walk from Poprad station.

For a tall person like me, i found the bed a bit short.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived in the evening, and were very impressed with our room/apartment. It was extremely spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We got good recommendations for a restaurant and activities during our stay. The owners were very accommodating letting us keep our bags in the room after check-out time. We were very happy with the hotel.

Everything was perfect. Owner of the hotel a very kind people. They always see what you like or dislike and have a personal approach to everybody, so in the end of the stay you feel like those people know you for ages and know how to make you stay as pleasant as it can be. I really advice this pension to families how would like to have a comfort stay.

Nice and pretty pension. Close to center of the town. Stuff speaks russian, german, english.

I always catch water tap in the shower place by my legs, and gets suddenly hot or cold water on me. Also i had trouble with booking - i booked for 2 person(adults), but in hotel said i booked for 1 adult and 1 kid.

Very friendly family pension, well situated in quiet location 5 minutes walk from the old town centre, 10 from the station. Everything immaculate, comfortable and good value. Excellent breakfast. Fluent German and English spoken.

Nothing, just don't expect Poprad to charm you with its beauty! But it is a very good base with transport links to the surrounding area, and a handy local train up to the mountain resorts.

Easy to find.Safe parking. Friendly & helpfull owners. We had a big "suite" upstairs, very nice! Comfortable beds. Good,basic breakfast.

A bit short bed for a grown-up man...

We were a little bit disappointed when we arrive to Pension Vila Mery because it was highly recommended by 141 reviewers (scored 9.2) while the apartment we received did not seems to worth such a score. We received a 2 room apartment, featuring one double bedroom and a living room with two sofa beds a dining table and a kitchenette. Bathroom was very small with a tiny shower that was partly plugged. The kitchenette was very basic and did not include a stove, microwave or any other facility that can allow you to prepare even a light dinner. In addition, the spiral stairs that were leading to the apartment were inconvenient especially when climb up with our luggage. In one of the nights we had noisy neighbors that were speaking very loudly giving the impression like they were in our room. Nevertheless, after we accept the disadvantages, we enjoyed the hospitality of the couple who run the place that besides being very nice, they were also very helpful with every question or problem we had. In addition, they serve a very good breakfast. We believe that one that will arrive with reduced expectations will enjoy its stay especially if he will receive a better apartment than the one we did.

Small family owned pension just outside Popread city center. I picked it because of its proximity to the rail and bus stations in Poprad. Both were about a 5 minute walk from the pension, so this worked well for me. Poprad doesn't have a lot to see itself, but it is a good staging place for making day trips to the High Tatra resorts and other small but scenic towns (Kezmarok, Levoca, Spisska Sobota, Spisska Kapitula, Stara L'ubovna, Zdiar, etc.), all of which are within 90 minutes by train or bus. Among the very nice husband and wife owners, a number of languages (English, German, Hungarian as well as Slovak) are spoken, so communication is not a problem. The owners were also very helpful in answering questions and can help with train and bus schedules, as the one owner who spoke English did for me. My single room was large, basic but comfortable, with a small kitchen area and a small sitting area with table. So you could make your own meals, if desired. Bathroom was somewhat small, but quite functional. Nothing fancy, but good basic accomodation in a quiet area of the town.

it is an excellent hotel with warmly atomsphere friendly. My advice is very good reccomended for anyone come to the hotel. we love and very comfortable, it is so space and able to relax

- Location in Poprad - quiet and close to city center and shopping center (few minutes by foot) - nice choice for breakfast - affordable prize - nice internal area (playground, barbacue place, grass) - great atmosphere and owners - friendly, helpful, very nice I recommend this pension - you will like it!

- Room equipment is basic but there is so many things to seee nad places to visit in Poprad region so you want spend much time in the room

Suite was very spacious. Everything clean and in good condition. It was cold outside, but room had manually adjusted heating even in summer time. There is kitchenette, so you can make some tea in the evening (bring yours as long it is not included). Breakfast was good (yet could have more selection). Very friendly an helpful hosts! Really liked staying here.

Nice location-walk 10 minutes to center with many shops and restaurant, comfortable room and newly, cleanly, and quietly. Good breakfast and the host provide service by himself. It's a good choice of stay before you visit Tatras.

The owners are very nice, friendly and always ready to help. They suggested us to clean our bikes in their garden. A very nice place with nice people that I highly recommend!

Very friendly owners, everything simple but tidy, very tasty breakfast. There is a big yard with place for chidren. In general a very nice and cosy place to stay, especially for families.

The position was perfect for our purposes - not far from the rail and bus stations, and close to the town centre. The owners/staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful, with advice about local facilities and places to see. Breakfast was excellent. Our room contained everything we needed. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

We enjoy very much staying in Villa Mery – friendly hosts, nice rooms and good food. It is very near by train station and city centre.

It is not clean, the bed was broken, the mattress was very bad. The breakfast was poor.
