Nice looking hotel, comfortable bed, clean & cosy modern interior. Good sized window which opens right up to let fresh air in, whilst outdoor shutters can let in as much light as you want, or completely darken the room. The location is great - it is at the very top of San Marino, sitting right under the first tower built in the 1300's, in the middle a shopping & restaurant area. Breakfast is nice. Room was nicer/more modern than those in the photos. When we were first greeted, by the older lady [who has close to no English], she wasn't all that friendly or helpful, actually seemed more like we were an imposition on her! The gentleman later on (her husband perhaps?), who does speak English, was however more helpful and friendly . The WiFi connection, whilst the signal is strong, is intermittent at best. The only downside to the great location is that it is 1-200 metres into a limited traffic area - no cars are allowed in before 7pm - this means that you can only bring your luggage in then, unless you are willing & able to walk it up the hill.

The allocated room was very good and had the best view of all the rooms in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was acceptable and varied enough for one's expectations The energy saving system of inserting a key into a hole is not a good one, and also activates immediately without pause. The TV should have more foreign channels. The fan coil unit did not seem to work with the thermostat, and the room was cold at night.

Hotel Rosa sits at the top of the hill in San Marino, right below the castle. It was comfortable, staff was very helpful and you could park right at the hotel. Mind you, getting into the parking area is a "thrilling" experience but the gentleman taking care of the desk was there to give very good directions to get your car in and out. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. Comfortable beds, good space in the room. The bathroom was compact but perfectly usable with plenty of hot water and a nice shower. Breakfast was great with plenty of everything you could want. If you choose to go to Hotel Rosa go to Parking lot 6, pass through the gates, take the 1st right and then right again. I would recommend walking there first from the parking lot just to see what you are in store for. You could also choose to park in the lot for 8 Euro for 24 hours. Not a thing. Wonderful stay.

Great location and nice rooms, and breakfast was included. Hotel has limited parking and it's in a restricted area, so ask about it as soon as you check in.

Located in central old part of San Marino. Eacy to walk around and visit everything. nice breakfast, very friendly people. WI-FI had limited capacity and could not handle web pages with lots of graphics. Owner recommenced restaurant Cesare, but looked too touristy with loud music, so went to closer restaurant with local people and much lower prices.

Everything was amazing! We liked the hotel and San Marino so much that we stayed for 1 more night, the staff was very kind and offered the same room for us. The restaurant was not working since it is still low season, and finding a place to dine was a challenge. But you can always go with local wine, tomatoes, cheese and ham from the store. With lunch there is no problem at all. Wifi was working strange, but it worked and that's great. Good breakfast (with strawberries!) and perfect coffee - not a machine one, but a true espresso. Location is perfect - on the very top of the city, and they have own tented parking. This is a great family hotel, we will definitely stay here again when we return to San Marino!

I had a small, single room that was very comfortable and well-desiged with everything I needed. Owner was very helpful and parking was good, after you could access it. Had a nice view from my window of the wall and small tower. A Right next to the wax museum featuring instruments of torture and down the street from the vampire museum! How can you go wrong? Good internet and good breakfast too. It's windy on the hilltop, so be sure to take a jacket. Only negative is you can't drive you car to the hotel parking until 7pm, so you have to park in one of the pay parking areas until 7pm, then move your car.

Really friendly staff, comfortable rooms, amazing views - and a great breakfast (which can be hard to find in this part of the world). 'Free wi-fi connection' was quite patchy (although good when it worked!)

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff is very nice, the rooms are superb and the location is just perfect (just inside the walled city). Parking is right next to the hotel (after 7pm), otherwise a public car park is just outside the walls (100m away). The breakfast was also very nice and the whole atmosphere was great. Nothing negative about it.

Loved the location, I don't think you can get much closer to the top without staying in the castle! Loved the hotel and the area we were in. I don't think it gets any better than this! Wonderful people and beautiful community. We've traveled all over Europe with my parents over 6 weeks, this was my Dad favorite location! We were here in April, some shops didn't open early etc, I think this community very much shuts down or slows down during off peak season. I struggled to find an atm. We didn't have any trouble with driving in, but our rental car was small and I live in Europe so I'm used to the driving. For those not used to European driving this may seem challenging. There are parking lots one level lower for tourists. We didn't have any trouble with parking on the property.

The room was great and the views awesom. San Marino is terrific! Language was a problem. The woman who did the breakfast was grumpy & noisy. If she doesn't like her job she should quit! Made us very uncomfortable.

The location of Hotel Rosa is amazing - must be the highest hotel in San Marino, with spectacular views and excellently placed for exploring the town and the three towers/castles.Amazingly we parked a BMW 5 series estate right outside the front door, having driven in disbelief to this location, via our Satnav! Breakfast could be improved.
