The Hotel Maya was a great experience. The proprietress was helpful, informative, and facilitated a wonderful excursion to the islands in to Cassemance estuary. We enjoyed her company so much we invited her to join us for dinner. Although isolated, this is a real gem. The isolation is part of the charm. Great views, a majestic garden, and simple delicious food await the intrepid traveler. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend at the Maya. Madame should have informed to us to consider an extra day of relaxation at the serene hotel when we booked!! Jaja!
