the resort was well looked after and despite the few animals on exibition in cages, they appeared to be well fed and kept clean contrary to some of the depressing reviews from other guests. The food was great, pools clean and Huge! - great beach view from the loungers and hammocks where we spent the whole day, every day, just enjoying the sunshine and the view. tropical climate but good working A/C in spacious room.

one disappointing thing was that the resort is quite remote, and there is not really anything close enough to walk to. There is a small village maybe a 5-10 minute drive away, but being over-cautious, we just decided to stay at the resort the whole time and walk up and down the beach. Easy to see from the beach walking that there is not much else around in that area, but imagine in 5-10 years will be built up with more resorts.There was plenty to do, table-tennis, volleyball, tennis, massages, horseriding, but we were quite happy just spending time on the beach. Also, something which could be a good or a bad thing, is that we were the only guests staying over in the bungalows most nights so it was very quiet, although there were some groups of day guests. Sometimes in the evenings we felt a bit rushed by the staff to order our dinner, so that all other preparations for closing down the restaurant/kitchen could be done, but otherwise the service was very good. Again, not necessarily something bad, but may be a bit restrictive for some is that you do need to know some Spanish to stay here. The menus are offered in both Spanish and English, but if you want to order anything differently, off the menu or try to explain certain drinks, knowing some conversational Spanish is a must. It certainly helped me brush up on mine!
