The staff very friendly
The room not cleaned every day
The size of the unit
Too crowded beach
nice pool and beach, good for snorkeling, entertainment team around pool very friendly, close to restaurants.
wifi connection very slow and irregular, cleaning of room only once in 3 days, sofa bed was in very bad condition and it took the staff over 24 hours to find a solution with an extra mattress. Some of the staff members were not very friendly. One of the bartenders explicitly mentioned that it counts what the boss says and not the customer...
The unit we were in had flood light and drew bugs, not very private 7440.
The apartment was very nice with a big comfy bed and great kitchen. There was 2 TV's with plenty of channels but a message from the cable provider popped up on the screen saying that payment is due and service would be terminated within 48 hours a bit funny. I thought location was quite good.
The bathroom stank old and moldy and looks like a bathroom from 1978. The facilities around the hotel where very dirty (nasty) later in the day and evening. Seems like they stopped cleaning after certain hour of the day and even when I notified the staff at their restaurant Toppers nothing happened to the toilets they remained real nasty. About 80% of the people at this hotel are over 65 years old so not a fun place for younger people.

The location was great. Walking distance to casinos, restaurants, bars... easy to take bus to Philipsburg or Marigot but its a good idea to rent a car or motorbike as the driving is easy and safe... beach is nice...property is safe, clean and beds and comfortable.
We were not put in the room we thought we booked, our room was not ready at the time we requested and also it seems the front desk play games basically in other words saying we can pay extra for an oceanview room that we thought we booked in the first place. check in was a very disappointing process...not having an oceanview when you thought that is what you booked is a very bad first impression...kitchen could also have more things needed like salt and pepper, and frying pan utensils to flipping eggs/bacon... anyways we enjoyed our trip regardless...
We liked absolutely everything !!! My son wanted to do spotting planes at Maho Beach. We could see landing planes from the resort. It was really a good choice. Our room was really big. Nice clean beach, nice swimming pool, good food at Toppers restaurant. We stayed 4 nights, but definitely want to come back. We recommend this resort!
Very slow reception When i checked in
Weather was perfect for 7 straight days. Warm Caribbean sea. Very close to the airport. Daily activities at the resort.
Any noise in the hallway came right into the room - not very soundproof. Grocery store prices were high - most stuff has to be imported to the small island. Room service only once/week, so sand accumulated on ceramic floor - we were too lazy to sweep it ourselves :)
I don't like that you can't switch off the airconditioning
GREAT STAFF Private Beach Food is good (little pricey)
Hotel bill had unknown fees WIFI was horrible
We had the most wonderful stay at Flamingo, a perfect resort!
weather and ocean view
Spacious room with well equipped kitchen. Reasonable local restaurant and retail facilities. Very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water for the shower.
Limited on-site facilities, just the beach-bar. No porter services, not good if you have a lot of luggage (or a large dive-bag to carry to your room). Room cleaned and bedding & towels changed every 3 days.
- Location right at the beach - Sufficient chairs and parasols available - Restaurant is very simple but ok.
- Treatment at reception was a bit "fluffy" - After arriving at 12:15 I could collect my room at 16:00, but no convenience room to take a shower. - At 16:00 they mentioned I had to wait another hour (check out is 10:00 AM???). In the end they could give me a room with parking lot view. Those rooms have a very disappoiting view. Watch out when booking. - Very US focussed.
They hurry me to check out.
we loved this place, from out room to the amenities, to the pool and the beach, the location is convenient and beautiful, the staff was always so nice and helpful, we are definitely coming back and staying at Flamingo :)
What's NOT to like? If you want a resort that has everything you need, but is also situated in an area with many restaurants n shops that truly are in walking distance, then consider this place. With the full kitchen n markets close by, u get the best of a resort w the freedom of eating when n where u want. Never had a cleaner room n the service cannot b beat.
The WIFI was the ONLY thing sub standard.
The room 7401 was excellent, great view of the ocean pool, beach. Everything worked great. The toilet stopped yet maintenance was there in no time to resolve problem. I liked the balcony, the two t.v.'s fridge, microwave, jacuzzi bath.Overall I hated to leave the place.Staff was really tenative to our requests.Would return again a much better value then Simpson Bay Resort with more to offer.
The maids should do daily runs on the rooms not every three days. There were some things that could've used some cleaning sweeping exchange of towels after two days. There should be more activities during daytime around the resort.
The kitchen had very upscale small appliances and the shower was a very large tiled area. The pool was beautiful and well kept especially since we were there right after the hurricane. We were in two different units and both were a bit different but equally well appointed. Our first was a studio and the second a one bedroom villa but both were very nice. The beach area was on par with all the other beaches on the island and the pool bar was convenient for snacks and drinks. The restaurant had a bit of hurricane damage but still operated and signs of improvement were evident.
The beds were a bit hard but the linens were nice. Housekeeping kept the rooms very clean but we found odd assortments of bath products such as three lotions and no shampoo as well as many handtowels and only one washcloth. The issues were resolved but we did not discover them until we were ready to use the items.
Room ok. pool good
For a room availability time of 4, we were repeatedly turned away. Then 30mins later told that supervisor had to sort something who was away at other place then later told had change rooms. Eventually after fuss got an acceptable room
Room well appointed, especially kitchen area. We visited a few days after hhurricane and damage was hardly noticable.
We had to ask for coffee and there was no soap nor shampoo in room. Houskeeping did not understand our request.
More activitis for yang people....:)
