Best hotel of my trip so far location superb - very well run hotel - food very good and restaurant staff excellent

The location was very relaxing.

The staff needs to be better trainned.. The front desk was not very well awaire of customer needs.

Perfect location in the middle of Philipsburg with the beach at the hotel. The room with beach view are nice, but I suppose the rooms on the street side are not very interesting. Breakfast is good, and it's until 11.00 o'clock !

The price is too high for what you get. Although they modernized the rooms it's a quite simple room.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was ample. The location is excellent if you are interested in going to St. Barths for the day, as the ferry from Philipsburg is only about 5 minute walk away. The staff was warm and welcoming.

An oddly specific complaint...the shower in the room lacked any place to place soap, shampoo bottles, so I had to place them on the floor of the shower. The shower didn't knock them over, but I kept imagining how incovenient/dangerous it would have been for someone less mobile to have to stoop over like I did.

In the centre of everything the beach and shopping centre.

I love everything about the Holland House...it's gorgeous and the staff is helpful and friendly.

- The hotel restaurant and bar are excellent (food, drinks, ambient and views) - Room comfort is appropriate - The localization is good for shopping and to get a boat to St Barths (you can go to the port just walking).

- Staff is very rude (with some good exceptions), but this is a general problem in the island - Sometimes was impossible to use the elevator (the staff should be trained to give priority to the guests)

La chambre, les repas (petit déjeuner,déjeuner ou diner), la plage, la situation en centre-ville et en bordure de la promenade, la proximité du ferry pour St.Barths, l'amabilité du personnel, les journaux déposés à la porte de la chambre, l'espace bar-réception, l'ambiance générale de l'hôtel.

Rien de négatif. A noter cependant que l'emplacement de l'hôtel sur la carte de booking.com est erroné. L'hôtel est situé au bord de la plage de Philipsburg.

Die Lage ist perfekt zum Übernachten vor einer Kreuzfahrt und man kann sogar mit Gepäck zu Fuß zum Pier marschieren - schon ein ca 15-20 Minuten Weg aber absolut machbar. Auch der Strand ist sehr schön und es tut sich immer was auf der Promenade - wir waren allerdings in der Vorsaison. Schöne Zimmer, schönes Bad. Frühstücken kann man im Hotel - es gibt ein Buffet, gut, aber sehr teuer, wie alles in der Karibik, ca 18€ pro Person.

Enige is dat de prijs echt wel hoog is. Vergelijkbare hotels zitten misschien op 75% van hun prijs. Ze moeten oppassen dat ze zichzelf niet uit de markt prijzen.

la playa y la atenciuón del personal, estupendo. muy recomendable. un tanto costoso pero para lo que hay en la zona es lo mejor.

Location on the beach. Loved the beach front lounge and restaurant. Room design was great and nice balcony overlooking the beach.

Don't expect too much from St. Marteen if you have already been on other Caribean islands like Cancun or Bahamas. There is not too much to do and not big atractions besides the beaches. Also comparing with St. Barths, I would tell that St. Marteen is the poor island of the two of them. I was impressed with the missing structure and the quantity of abandoned cars on the roas. Also there the transit is bad. Regarding the hotel, it was nice and good located in the island. However, it was not very clean - could be better on this aspect. If you intend to make some shopping in St. Marteen, it is very close to some stores (jewelries, electronics, etc.). The beach is nice and there is services in the beach side which was very nice as well. Also about location, we have stayed in two other places in the island (north - French side), I would recomend to people to stay close to Philsbourg where Holland House is.

Excellent hôtel, idéalement situé sur la rue commerçante et donnant directement sur la plage.Le personnel sait ce que service veut dire et va au devant de vos attentes, avec le sourire. Entretien suivi des locaux, une performance dans les Caraïbes. Une adresse à retenir, pour nous qui habitons en Guadeloupe !

Een prima eiland om te relaxen en niets te doen. Het hotel heeft heerlijke grote bedden, een goede badkamer met prima inloopdouche. Leuke, ontspannen lounge en geweldig eten!

Gelukkig is het gros van het personeel van het hotel wel (klant) vriendelijk, in onze optiek is St Maarten in zijn totaliteit not the friendly island!
