Offering a restaurant, bar and private beach area, Anse Marcel Beach Resort has accommodations with kitchen facilities in Saint-Martin.
Score from 92 reviews Excellent
Old fashion and needs updating particularly the electrics. Fine for 1 or 2 nights only
Penthouse suite with two twin bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms and separate sitting room with kitchen. Excellent views of beach and convenient location for shops and cruise terminal
That the hotel made an error in our reservation and there was no room available when we tried to check in. We were directed to a sister property.
The staff made every effort to get us a room. After checking out the other property and returning to the horizon view there was a cancellation and we were able to stay.
The hotel entrance was not very inviting could do with brightening up. Phillipsburgh died after the Cruise ships left with only 6 or 7 restaurants open and most closing by 9.30 pm. Marigot is not a place I would visit again as it is frightening after being mugged.
The facilities were excellent we were upgraded to a delux apartment overlooking the beach from the bedroom and lounge. The apartment was huge considering with a kitchen and dining area. The staff were always prepared to help if it was need. Overall we found it better than we expected after reading some review.
Front desk service very poor. Needs to be improved.
Very overpriced because the hotel needs a lot of maintenance!!!
The hotel is clean and greatly situated. The manager is very friendly. We enjoyed the possibility to shop in St. Maarten. The view was also very beautiful.
Remodeling of several rooms and lack of an ocean facing room. Lack of parking at hotel.
I did not like the maid service offered at the hotel, in particular the cleaning. I also think that the desk is left unmanned when there should always be somebody at the desk. While i was out I was told that there was no calls to my room but when i arrived to the room there were messages and my guests did not know which roomed I stayed.
Hotel begins one flight up. Very small elevator. Lacks hotel services like restaurant or bar. No lobby.
Right on the beach in the center of town. Clean, useful kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price. Ocean-view rooms have dynamite view. I would stay there again.
Breakfast, no dinning room rather food left at Reception if you were fast enough
The stunning view and lovely room
Don't be put off by reception area which is a bit dated and not at all like modern rooms. Not the fault of the hotel but close to cruise port so when 4+ huge cruise ships dock almost every day it is very busy right in middle diamond and jewellery centre. That said the hawkers seem to know who is on cruise ships and left us alone.
Great location just a few steps to great bay. Rooms were modern and pristine clean, bed huge and comfy, towels and chairs available on the beach. We had side room so not expecting sea view but we could still see the sea front from our balcony. Manager was helpful and friendly, tea and coffee in reception and serviceable lift to all floors. Drop off at door and believe parking available at extra cost but we parked a short walk away for free
the intrance of the hotel. The hotel is more like a appartment and not a hotel
the location that can enjoy the beach and stores all shops are close by
The hotel is literally located in a sketchy strip mall. It is so weird you have to walk up these stairs to get to the "reception" which is a 1960s looking completely outdated and very odd desk area. The hotel has zero amenities (no pool, gym, restaurant, valet, spa etc). For $240 per night I would highly recommend staying next door at the holland house hotel - for the same price! Beautiful hotel with a great restaurant and bar.
Rooms were recently renovated: microwave and mini fridge, bathroom modern and overall room is clean
Over priced for what you get
The hotel is advertising different rates via booking.com while applying other rates upon arrival. Make sure to bring a copy of your booking! The manager was very friendly and changed the rate to the rate as booked via booking.com.
the central location in downtown phillipsburg.
More like a large apartment that we had with sea view
There is no restaurant on property to purchase food.
I liked the location. The hotel is downtown and cinvenient for shopping.
We enjoyed a really nice newly remodeled room/bathroom overlooking a beautiful beach. After visiting the crowded beaches on the French side, we were even more pleased with the serene spacious beach outside our window at his hotel. It was extremely convenient to everything that we needed and the staff did an excellent job of taking care of us. We would stay there again...
