Check-out by 10:00 a.m. is too early, we had to request late check-out at 12:00 p.m. at time of booking but it's not guaranteed. We had to check out at 11:30 a.m. after discussing with the manager a day before leaving.
This resort is a classic beach resort with plenty of activities to do on site. Also very close to many restaurants. They resort caters well to your fun and provide the best beach towels on the island!!

The friendly standard of professionalism; nothing too small nor trivial that wasn't attended to promptly and satisfactorily. The beautiful view 24/7. No unnecessary interruption from house-keeping staff; and the family atmosphere; pleasantly enjoyable all around
There was nothing which we totally disliked, but we thought that the Guestroom furniture was a bit heavy and clumsy to manoeuvre, and perhaps the colour scheme could be a bit brighter; but that is speaking of the suite we were in.
The room was awesome! Close to the beach, large bedrooms, big kitchen and very comfortable. We enjoyed being so close to the market and several good restaurants. Your restaurant was excellent as well. Loved movie night too. Despite the things we didn't like, we would love to return. And probably will. :)
The mosquitoes!!!!! The grounds should be spayed. Bbq pits will be great. They weren't quite finished being built.The pool is a bit small. Staff was very friendly except for the bartender. We didn't feel as welcomed there. There was a cockroach in our bathroom after spraying. Yikes!
the front desk staff is lovely crystal, martin and nickerson!!
we didnt like that the maid service is every 4 days . and the girls at the pool bar is not friendly
Everything close to restaurants and shops also love the gym
low season, stayed 3 nights. staff didnt let me have a late check out. I have 3 small children and getting everybody ready by 10 is hard. 10 am is avery early check out time. During low season it should be at noon. or clients AT LEAST should have a late check out upon request.
We had a booking but when we got there they could not find our reservation and they did not have a room for us.
I like almost everything
What I didn't like was that because I was a local the security had the nerve to come and asked me for my room number while I was sitting at the pool. There were numerous people sitting there as well and I felt that we were picked on. I paid just like everyone else. (Verrry Poor)
The staff is great. They made dinner reservations for us and the table had special decorations for us that delighted the children. The pool and the beach are very nice and the location is convenient to many restaurants, other beaches and activities. View is lovely.
The kitchen cabinets need refinishing. The vernier is starting to chip and peal.
Front desk staff is the BEST!
Our housekeeper (Isabelle) did a very poor job of cleaning our room. She didn't take any of our soiled towels. Only replaced a few big towels. We had to call for a complete set of towels & washcloths.Did not clean the shower stalls. They were bone dry. Did not leave new coffees & sugar/creams. Did not sweep under the beds.Did not clean the kitchen or run the dishwasher. Half-assed job!

Near the airport Lots of places to eat Near stores and bars And yet the beach is private and secluded .
They kick you out at check out time at 10am or a $100 fee.
There were plenty of umbrellas and chairs on the beach. The beach massages were awesome. Location, location, location! Staff was very friendly.
The beach is hard sand and full of yuk. The doors need a safety latch for young children...our 2 yr. old could open the front door! The balconies are not kid friendly.
The room was well maintained, though the sofa was a bit uncomfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We had a beautiful view of the bay. The location was outstanding - lots of restaurants and markets in the area. The resort is not really luxurious, but it is a great value for the money. We will stay there again
We had trouble getting the bill straight.
What I like the most was the format of the kitchen and the bedroom. The relaxing pillows in my deluxe suite was really nice
What I didn't like was I paid for my room the night before and was promised A certain room and when I came to check in I was given another.
I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little freaked out about the negative comments. But seemed every hotel in St Maarten had at least a few negatives. We had a one night layover and needed a room. When we walked in our room everyone breathed a big sigh of relief when they saw the room. There were huge windows with the most amazing view of the beach, harbour with boats and the sea beyond! I would stay here again for sure! It was across the street from great places to eat! I suggest Lee's grilled snapper....oh my word! We were toward the end of the 4th floor Room 8404. No complaints at all.

Close to the airport and lots of good restaurants with affordable prices nearby. The hotel itself s excellent.: Clean, well-furnished rooms and a staff that makes you feel at home giving you the feeling that they want you there and are glad you are there.
Slow and helpless staff at the reception, only manager can solve problems.
The room was neat, clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and courteous. The location was terrific and within close walking distance of some very good restaurants
The TOILET PAPER was ROUGH ROUGH ROUGH!!! I had a real problem with that!! The sand on the beach was really rocky.

Customer Service Team, I'm more than sure this response will fall on deaf ears, and no this issue isn't resolved, lets just say nothing has been resolved. Lets start from the beginning. On Wednesday, December 25, 2013 I made what had hoped would be a great Holiday reservation at The ROYAL PALM BEACH RESORT in Sint Maarten booking code# 442897686, under the name of Neil Toner for one person, "1" one bedroom suit from February 1 - 8, 2014. I spoke personally with a representative on the phone and booked this week stay, making emphasis on the one bedroom not two bedroom unit. I didn't want to be involved with a two bedroom unit and remembering what I once had on this earth and is not longer with us and was trying to move on in my life hoping that would be facing me in this vacation. That being said I received an email on 1/5/14 reconfirming the reservation for my Saint Maarten staying in a two Bedroom unit...NOT WHAT I RESERVED OR REQUESTED OR PURCHASED WHEN BOOKING THIS RESERVATION. I went around with a representative from BOOKING.COM and had to start all over again explaining the situation and why this reservation was wrong. We went around for three plus days with this issue and your company. I was know looking around for another company that could accommodate my needs if your company wasn't able to stand up and accommodate the original reservation. The representative got back with me after I stated I was canceling the reservation. Her response was that the manager of the Resort (ROYAL PALM BEACH RESORT) was not corresponding with your company. That should have been my heads up to walk away right then and there. The representative was trying to make good and I would see what the next step was going to come out of.
