- Location of the hotel (distance to the Airport) - Kitchen was equipped really good
- Unfriendly staff - No information about use of Wifi network - They needed a deposit during check-in for security reasons.
Clean room, friendly staff
old building, traffic jam at the entrance
The resort was quite impressive, a community within itself; with restaurants, bars, atm etc....
There was no HOT WATER!! I understand there was a maintenance issue that day. HOWEVER NO HOT WATER WAS A BIG DEAL FOR ME.
Avoid this place at any cost: the island is wonderful and hotels like this should not spoil your impression.
The place offers the rudest and the least efficient fromt desk service I have experienced in years. Employees make you wait pointlessly and then ask "come on man, why you behavin difficult man?". The rooms are very tired and need a complete redo to aspire for a four-star quality. I felt totally cheated at this place and totally unwelcome.
Proximity to airport and village of Simpson Bay. Variety of water Sports available at the dock. Staff very friendly and responsive To needs of guests.
Property is large and some Units are quite a ways uphill. Shuttle is available, but not Always right away
The Marina on the premise makes boat trips easy. Nicely located hotel.
The Bus trip to town stopped at some fitness stores just for the hotel's benefit. The kitchen smells like fish because of last tenant's cooking. The smell never went away. The WIFI is extremely slow and intermittent.
Everything was excellent. The staff is very polite and they like to give you want you need. The kitchen was well equipped, and having them work was better. I recommend this resort because of the location, the beach is close by and excellent place to relax. This is my first time and it wont be my last one.
The room were good and the bed especially.
I didnt like that i was all at the last floor and next to a smelly garbage. I asked for a top floor and to stay in the new location of the hotel, but got another.
spacious kitchen and living area and very lovely private balcony and also patio. Great grocery store on site. Excellent restaurant. Comfortable beds.
too early of a check out.
Rooms were clean as well as bathroom. Shuttle service between lobby and location of room.
Breakfast area not so clean and efficient. Distance between room and other facilities as a lone traveller. Time it took to check in and retrieve my case from room in lobby.
we had a great view from our room, and loved the resources available in the 'community' (restaurants, market, etc)
unfortunately, we had to come home! ;-(
The room,pools,and people!
Location was great Concierge was very welcoming And lovely
Reception guy was almost rude no customer service at all. Breakfast : 40 mins to take an order when there is only 6 customers sitting ??
Still waiting for my deposit which I wasn't told would be on hold
I came to Simpson Bay on the recommendation of a friend. It was the perfect place for my getaway! The people were friendly, the grounds were nice (considering there was a category 2 hurricane 2 days before I arrived), and the location is great! The Stone restaurant on the grounds might be one of the best meals (and service) I've ever had!
The Wifi is spotty at best.
I liked the hospitality of the staff and guests, the location of the hotel, the service and the awesome walks i took.
Staff was friendly and very accomodating. Food on premises was good, but do not expect fancy presentation. Great nearby access to charming restaurants and long beautiful beaches. Studio room was large and clean. I was satisfied. Spa services were good but overpriced. Spa is not fancy.
My room was infested with mosquitos when I first arrived. I told the staff and they fumigated my room immediately. They should try to present food a little better. I ordered pancakes and sausage and received them on a plastic plate, totally plain, and with no garnish i.e. fruits/whip cream/butter. It was good, but you always expect a little something special when you are on vacation. The entire resort sits on a hill so if your room is not in the main building, get ready to do a bit of walking up and down hills. Not too bad, when I found my way around but if you are older and walk with a cane, it could be a little difficult to get around.
PEACEFULNESS, EXTREMELY CLEAN, PERFECT LOCATION FROM AIRPORT.
The entire staff, especially our consierge Javier went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful.
Timeshare presentation was way too long, 4 hours. Towel card system needs to be more convenient.
I had a studio apartment with a well appointed kitchen
A young lady on the information desk was excellent - very friendly
The gentleman on reception booked us in the wrong room and when we went back to sort it out there was no apology.
Tremendous value for money
Walking uphill to apartment
The room was new, clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have a view, but we had a cute little porch we could hang out on. We were close to a few of the pools and restaurants and the grounds of the resort were nice.
The front desk clerk that checked us in was absolutely awful! Honestly, worst customer service I have ever experienced. He didn't give us any info about the resort (i.e. where things were located or the shuttle, where to get beach towels, and didn't tell us we had to add money to our room key in order to charge to the room.) They also keep a $250 incidental charge and don't release it until 10 days after you check out. While that is understandable, he didn't explain it in detail at all. Luckily, we talked with someone working the night shift and he explained how everything worked to us.
Scuba, beach, view from the room,
Hard sell on the time share
