Hotel service is not at the same level of it. Few examples:
- Hard to get waiter's attention at the pool, I had to go to the pool boy to ask for the waiter and after 30 min he came with the menu.
- At the beach, I order a juice and it took more than 30 min to get it; this time the waiter recognized the delay and did not charge it.
- When asking at the front desk if the room service menu had sandwich, he called the room service and gave us the head phone so we can sort it out directly with the room service, while he kept on doing something else at the computer like he was too busy to give us attention.
- When asking for the concierge to cancel a scuba dive that we had booked, she immediately told us that we will be charged a fee even before trying to contact the scuba operator. As per our request, she called the operator and was told that there was no cancelation fee.
We've been at other 5 star resorts before where we felt that the hotel staff where there willing to help/ assist us no matter what, and that was not the feeling we had at the Gansevoort TCI. The hotel has spectacular facilities and amenities so we were expecting a better quality service, in alignment with what the hotel has to offer.
Hotel room and facilities, including beach service and paddle boarding. Hotel is beautiful, breathtaking! Very peacefull and restfull place.
