The beach and sorroundings ara amazing, increduble water and very quite place. Perfect to relax and enjoy of this fantastic region.

Should have more chairs and umbrellas on the beach, it was quite hard to find one, also the wifi was quite poor.

The Sands is best beach area and smaller, intimate resort.

    Nothing !

2nd time staying there. we liked the property and its access to the beach. our room was maintained exceptionally well.

we are ok with staff assuming a laid back island aire of casualness but too many staffers are just indifferent. i dont ever want someone giving me the idea that their doing me a favor by acknowledging my presence. im easy to please. low maintenance. you have HR challenges but it doesnt exempt you from the necessary follow up with staff performance. a simple good morning, hello, or good evening is pretty much hospitality 101.

    The beach access was incredible.

The staff was not well informed, slow, and not as friendly as you'd expect from a resort. Also, there were a very limited number of bicycles, snorkel gear, and pale boards. It seems the resort owns two of everything and that's about it.

The staff were attentive to needs and were welcoming to any questions and or concerns. An example of this would be when an over zealous mother would bring her 3 to 4 year old child to the pool every morning at 8 am for swimming lessons. The child, obviously terrified, begged and whined he didn't want to be in the pool; his pleas literally echoed through the property. There was no need for an alarm ckock. They swiftly took action seeking to speak with the mother.

The Sands was absolutely perfect for our stay. We had a wonderful time.

We had to leave a day early because my boyfriend is a pilot and had to fly. We had no water the last morning and couldn't shower before heading to the airport which was very inconvenient for him because he had to be ready in his uniform. We asked for a refund or partial credit for the last day because of this and were denied. This is my only complaint and the staff didn't seem to care.

Friendly staff, clean and beautiful grounds, outstanding and uncrowded beach, beautiful ocean view, nice 2 bed unit with large screen porch, easy taxi service.

Stains on upholstered furniture, lack of utensils in kitchen, takes a long time to make small change at front desk.

Beach was beautiful! Hemingways restaurant excellent fresh grouper!

No wifi in rooms! Housekeeping staff did not fix curtains that were very tall and unhooked so they could not be closed. The man we showed said "I will be right back!" HA!

The room with ocean view. Equal to the Regent for the same price.

Great location. Loved using the bikes to get around town. Staff was very friendly. Daily maid service was wonderful.

Hemingways had good food but the wait staff was not very friendly.

We loved the resort and all of the services and activities it provided. My family ranged in age from 10 to 75 yrs. of age. Everyone found something they enjoyed doing from the beach to the pools; paddle boarding, parasailing. tubing or snorkeling. Fishing and scuba diving were done off site. A great time!

Cost of taxi cabs which was not the fault of the resort but a fact of the island. Taxis charge by the person and their price varies depending on what taxi you engage.

It was absolutely gorgeous. We needed a place for one night. At Beaches now, if I didn't have young kids I would stay at this hotel. The 2 bedroom suite was so clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel .

Beautiful beaches and friendly people. Not over developed.

Wasn't able to take a sunset cruise. The person in charge wasn't very helpful and didn't even take our names down for being interested. It seems they only do it when they have enough people signed up. We only wanted the cruise not snorkeling.

Former Bd of dir md rest. Assoc. Restaurant owner 33 years past member md tourism Dev bd There is a difference between layed back casual but attentive service and what toooo many of your staff deliver which is Casual indifference. I do not want to feel like I have to interrupt staff members to make inquiries. I do not want to feel like some one is doing me a favor when I engage them. I am about as easy as there is a person to please. Low Maintenance. Several members of the reception staff "get it". Few of the Hemingway's staff get even close.
