Nothing to say. Loved everything.
The room was just huge! For the price we paid, we stayed in the most amazing room!
All the rooms are garden view, never beach front. But, to be honest, if you get oceanview in Koh Tao, you won't be well located at all. The village, the good restaurants and the nice bars are beachfront, what makes the hotels stay on the inside. It's a give and take. If you stay away from this location, it can add up on water taxi costs.
The hotel is also perfect because it is walking distance to two of the three nicest bars in the island (AC 2 Resort bar, Ban's and The Castle - Idk where The Castle is, didn't go there).
The beach is on the sunset side, which is perfect to sit on the beach (the bar has those beach beds, very comfy), have a drink (cheap, cheap, cheap) and chill.
The restaurant is also amazing on every meal, but especially at night. They have these dimmed lights hung on the trees shaped like jellyfish that makes a nice atmosphere. Also, you can choose to sit in the outside area with the thai mats, looking at the ocean, or in regular chairs on the inside. Food and drinks are very cheap, without lack of quality (one of the best restaurants I went in Thailand, actually). The staff is very well prepared and friendly.
Don't even bother bringing shoes, you will remove your flip flops everywhere.
The hotel is close to a nice massage place, 300 THB (like 10 USD) for an hour of thai massage. You have to go.
Koh Tao is a small island, much nicer than Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. You can hire a water taxi to go on a trip around the island and get to know the nice beaches and spots to snorkel. I went with Mol on taxi n. 96, very close to the hotel and a diving center. A very nice guy, knows all the touristic places and excellent an pilot at the ocean. 2.500 THB for two people, and he even has his own snorkels, no need to rent.
Koh Tao is the cheapest place in Thailand (and possibly the world) to get your PADI or SSI certification, around 9000 THB (around 280 USD).
