The location is superb, in front of white shandy beach. Room is very clean and staff very friendly. I like concept of combination outside bath room and bath tube in our bath room. Their swimming pool is very nice, with pool bar make it special for our swimming afternoon session. Breakfast provided, taste not really outrated but provide various food from western and asia

I didn't like anything! Perhaps the only good thing is the cleanliness of the rooms and garden. First of all the hotel is advertised as seaside accomodation whereas it is located over a part of coast which looks more like a pond than sea. The breakfast is extremely poor both in choices and quality: the staff does not even know how to make an omelette! The view from the pool is a lovely brown- water pond!

It had a very comfy feeling. Damn nice rooms. Felt like we were on honeymoon. Beach was easily accesible. Loved the free kayaks. Pool abit small but was Ok for low season The outdoor bathroom. It was hot and abit scary if we need to take a bath at night or early morning. This is because we saw a dead baby snake on the road leading to the hotel (looked like a cobra)...so if a snake gets into the bathroom when its dark, we would not know. Abit dangerous on that part. Secondly, the review in tripadvisor said that it is walking distance to chaweng town. But, we have to walk at least 30 minutes (uphill too) to get to chaweng plaza. After chaweng plaza, we still need to walk at least another 30 minutes to cover the shops. The sister hotel's of Al's is more towards town n more convenient

The bungalows are very clean, quite new, fairly private. Overall it is very comfortable. The overall layout of the site is well done. It is quite close to Chaweng but without the hassle and noise from that area. A short taxi/motorbike ride of less than 5 mins gets you there. Very close to the airport too! Free kayak rental! The staff is just correct and the service quite expensive compared to what you get 100m away.

Superb accomodation and excellent service make this an eceptional resort at the quieter end of town too.Staff were pleasant couldn't do enough to please guests and a well maintained site make this a great location good value for money too. The only problem is the loud music around the pool during the day which tends to spoil the usual tranquilty of this resort

Extremely friendly staff, except of reception. There is nice island (Matlang) right opposite the beach where you can go by kajak. Very clean and comfortable room. Private beach! Weak breakfast and some of the staff were unfriendly. Didn't speak English, were helpfull only if you gave them money (reception and drivers). At one point drivers of the van charged us money for 5 min. journey to city, where they were going to anyway. Don't order taxi with reception, it's cheaper to catch one on a street.

Nice bungalows, well located a bit away from the busy beaches, nice private beach. Breakfast was ok overall, but you should look elsewhere for food. The restaurant is very slow and portions are minuscule.

The villas are pretty new and modern. The swimming pool is cute and has a swim up bar which overlooks the beach. The beach is fine for swimming and during my 6 nights there I didn't notice it being particularly busy at all (I came back and stayed a few more nights during my holiday)! Also the resort is nice and far away form the noise and dirt of Chaweng when you want some peace and quiet. The free shuttle bus finishes at 6pm... a little early for going into Chaweng for dinner in my opinion. The English of the staff was not that great, but then this seemed to be applicable to most of the places we stayed in Thailand anyway.

“Absolute luxury. Beautifully finished rooms are as good as the pictures (you dont always find this in Thailand). The location is fantastic, just a few minutes North from the busy part of Chaweng Beach. The staff were lovely, spoke perfect English and nothing was too much to ask. Beach is nice, plenty of loungers and a nice main pool. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for.” Mike, Southsea |
