The interior designer was more into fancy than into practical lighting. For example, there weren't any beed lamps, so if you want to read you need to go to the sofa. And if you need to raise from bed at night you need to search for a switch and probably wake up your mate. One note on cleanliness. The room and pool area were impeccable but the slippers we were given in the closet were already used and recycled. We didn't complain since we discovered that only the last day, we had our own slippers.
The apartment/villa was gorgeous, nice view, nice in-villa pool, fantastic outdoor shower, jacuzzi inside the room, well equipped kitchen with complimentary washing machine and washing powder. Great and helpful staff and, over the top, quiet beach even if all is public in Samui, and quiet sleeping (at least in our villa: 305).
The breakfast was abundant and you can ask them all you like and they will provide it to you. Room service is fast and food reasonable, even if a bit pricey compared to the village. But the quality is good.
The safety box is just the largest I ever found in an hotel, it can accomodate easily 2 laptops, all your valuables and still you will have room for more. well organised wardrobe too with ironing board, iron and powerful hairdryer.
