Excellent location - windows with view straight to Wat Chedi Luang Helpful and friendly personal speaking good English Breakfast free info. good coffee Air condion works well, but it is a little bit noisy Clean rooms
Poor wifi connection Safe at our room was broken
Location. Walk to restaurants and Wats. Price. Free and very fast Wi-Fi. Front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Room had a fridge, its also a very good room and great value. Quiet.
Only two towels, we meant to ask for two more and forgot.
- Very nice room with full facilities (in room) - Hotel is very clean - Staff service is good - A lot of restaurants or coffee shop close to hotel - Value for money
- Quite small of signage, bigger one should be better - Quite difficult for parking when travel by own car
Loation is great, in the center of old town, easy access to everywhere. Hotel is not big, but very clean, bed is comfortable, not too soft or hard, facilities are well enough and clean also, airconditioner works well. Staffs are helpful, provide private car transportation to airport and train staion with a reasonable price. There is a staff who could speak good Chinese. Though there's no kitchen, but hotel provide also free breakfast, some fruits, drinks and sandwichs.
Only thing I dislike is some ants in the bathroom, maybe attracted by some sweet stuff left by last guest, they showed up every day.
Pretty close to perfect. The ladies at the desk were gracious and helpful; our room and common areas were spotless, and it is located dead center in the old city--our room overlooked Wat Chedi Luang but the hotel is far enough from the street that traffic noise was not an issue.Good value for a convenient location.
Another writer mentioned that it is a short walk from the narrow street to the hotel door (sign says 18 meters)---for 99% of travelers in Thailand, this is NOT a problem.
La Pillow is in a great location in the middle of the Old City. The Sunday Walking Street takes place just outside (but finishes around 10-11pm, so won't disrupt your sleep), the Saturday Walking Street is just down the road. There's a temple right outside, 7-Eleven around the corner (opposite temple), and most things are within walking distance. Despite its location, it was really quiet at night and the only thing I could hear were the crickets. I had no trouble sleeping - apart from the occasional patron returning late and slapping their flip-flops in the hall outside. The room was nice. Contrary to other reviews, I had no issue with the water pressure and found the shower good. The staff were super friendly and were always happy to say hello, they were also knowledgable about the area and will give you a map and point you in the right direction. The WiFi was a bit slow during peak times, but I kind of expect that at hotels these days. All it takes is a few people trying to download things and there's no bandwidth for anyone else. I only booked a week even though I was staying in Chiang Mai for a month - I wish I'd booked for longer!
La pilo was a cute hotel in a good location. The best advantage of this place for me was the staff who were extremely helpful, spoke English fluently, very nice and kind.
The staff at la pillow were great, really helped not only for booking activities but also within the city recomendations and restaurants.Pie is the best!
near the main sight seeing places and a 7-11 just within 3 mins walk
spots on the bed sheet and very low water presure for shower
It is just opposite to the Wat Chedi Luang in the old town, in a relatively quiete corner, instead of the main road. The staff are very nice, and helpful. There is also simple breakfast; map is provided in each room.
Sometimes, the noise due to the Aircon is not negligeable, but still ok.
Friendly staff, good location, very clean, good bed
The hotel was in a very good location. it was clean and comfortable I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
At the desk I was asked how I wanted to pay. Using a credit card, they would charge an extra 3%. Granted that is not very much money, but I think that any extra charges, including using a credit card, should be listed, especially since a credit card it used to make the reservation. At that point I would not pay cash, since they also have my credit card as a reservation. Concerned that the rooms might be charged twice, using 2 different payment types.
I like the cosy feeling of the hotel, making you feel like home. The front desk staff Ms Pie help us a great deal , very obliging and performed her duty well. The location and surrounding amenities is very convenient.
The air conditioner is not cooling enough even though we turned the temperature to lowest.
Miss Pai (as in apple 'pie') is the only Thai receptionist i met fluent in English...and sooo sweet. The manager Miss 'A' is professional and helpful, too. Everything works: WiFi, TV, shower, aircon. An electric pot allows to boil water for tea/coffee. A supermarket is around the corner, so is a large temple. Bed was not too soft, just ideal. All was good.
You really need to look out for the sign board, as the place is a bit hidden, which however is OK, otherwise it'd be overcrowded. I agree with one upset guest who was overcharged for a bed sheet she had stained. I hope the hotel will change this policy. The doors have a rubber lining, to soften the banging sound when doors get shut. What a brilliant idea! But some doors need to get fixed again to avoid the noise when people come home late. Other than that, everything was perfect.
Perfect Location with warmly staff.
The AC not cool enough.
Nice room and view over the temple.easy walk to everywhere.friendly atmosphere
The place was well located, with nice view on a temple. It was quite, clean and wifi was fine. And the staff was very helpful!
Great scenery.clean and quiet.nice desk clerk,Pie ,smile like an angel, and also the boy who speaks Chinese fluently.
The best rooms - with Wat Chedi Luang view (I think 202, 302, 402). Very clean.
No breakfast, but nearby many options to have a good meal
Super clean, friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money. Walking distance to the main sightseeings in the old Chiangmai city. 前台的阿泰中文说的非常好，给了我们很多帮助，好喜欢这家温馨可爱的酒店。
The temple next door
Clean, neat, near Sunday market, near temples.
No breakfast, The way to hotel is quite dark and quite. Car can't access the hotel, need to walk 5 minutes after get off taxi. It is very trouble if you have big luagguage or with kids.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Everything I expected was here & avaliable
- Great location (opposite chedi temple, right in old centre) - Friendly staff speaking reasonable English (always managed to work it out) - Bathroom was ok (everything worked)
- Air conditioning wasn't working really well - often warm moist air, which was quite uncormfortable to sleep - Quite noisy when other guests are departing (e.g., at 5:00 in the morning)
