I chose the Aphrodite Hotel because of its proximity to Central World Plaza, as that's where we brought in the New Year. It was just me and my girlfriend and honestly, i wasn't expecting much from the hotel. I could not have been more suprised! I'm still trying to work out the cheap price, i originally thought i was paying for the location and would get a pretty standard room, but it turned out the room was great! It's a 10/15 minute walk to MBK and a 30second walk to Central World Plaza and everything else that surrounds it. The room we stayed in was beautiful had a great bathroom and huge bed. It was small, but as we were only relaxing in the room and spending the rest of the day shopping this was not an issue. Every single one of the hotel staff were more than helpful and friendly, those who couldn't speak English quickly found someone that could and we always got answers to our questions. If you are on a bit of a budget, looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay thats close to everything in Siam Square and want to get more then you pay, go for this hotel!

I found the staff most helpful especially Miss Poo. Everyone had a smile for us, the chamber maid, the cook .... Breakfast was more than adequate, with a choice.

I felt not very comfortable with the security level in this hotel. The access from lobby to lift is open eventhough around 11.30pm.

Chambre petite mais cosy, jolie sdb (rare en Thailande ;-) situé dans une ruelle relativement calme à 2 pas des grands centres commerciaux bon accueil et personnel serviable et gentil Chambre à l'arrière, pas de vue et fenêtre qui ne s'ouvre pas

The staffs are very friendly and breakfast is delicious. The location is very good, very close to the skytrain station but not very easy to find because it is in a small lane. The airconditioning is too loud, but we have our earplugs.
