Avista Phuket Resort and Spa, Kata Beach  

It was a very pleasent stay at this beautiful hotel, its very close to the beah and that is a hudge plus. Staff is very polite and helpful, the room is extremly nice and clean and the services of the hotel are good.

Few things that i would like to mention to management of the hotel as suggestion as i come from hospitality management myself. Since the hotel is on a very step hill it will be good if the have few golf buggies to transport guests up and down. One restaurant is simply not enough. Internet needs to have better coverage in the rooms. Hotel should have official partners for different tours which phuket has to offer They really need the bar in this hotel, yes there is a pool bar but only during the day, something for the night time will be good.

We had a wonderful stay in Avista Phuket, it was comfortable and relaxing and it was modern and and clean also bonus was that it is a fairly new building,. We enjoyed the breakfast and over all it was a great hotel to stay. I would recommend it to anyone.

The size of rooms was good and the breakfast buffet was very good. The kids club was a nice extra but I would have rather the lady didnt let the kids just watch tv. Staff were very friendly and the welcome drink and flowers were nice. Free internet was good. The hotel has a nice design and is clean and modern.

The view out of our balcony was terrible and overlooked a construction zone and there was a bad smell. We had a grand delux room on the fifth floor with no sea view what so ever. The Avista hotel is not in the best location as it is further from the beach than many hotels of similar price and although the hotel was nice its location means I wouldnt stay there again. The gym was tiny and only had four cardio machines and not enough room to do any stretching or skipping etc. A shuttle service to the airport and Phatong shopping center would have been good.

You can not call this hotel a resort. To small area, not many facilities and only one restaurant. Guest occupied sun beds with their towels since early morning and not showing up until after 2 hours... Please do something about it! Food is just average. I rate this hotel 3 star.

Loved staying at this hotel. Some hotels in Thailand don't deserve there five star rating but Avista most certainly does. The room was stunning with everything you needed provided. The design is really nice and the hotel does what a five start hotel should do and thats make you feel special staying there. The food was stunning with the european and the Thai food both tasting delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The famous hill that people write about in there review for us was good exercise every day and we enjoyed the hill so please don't let such a stupid thing as a bit of exercise put you off staying in a marvellous hotel. Also we loved the location. Kata beach is quitter than the madness of Platong beach but you are only ten mites away so if you fancy the madness then you are a quick taxi ride away but you can relax and chill in the peaceful area of Kata beach.

The rooms are really stunning and huge! We had a beautiful honeymoon welcome laid out for us with champagne and fruits which made it extra special. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous, so much choice and all tasted great. Best breakfast we've had in Thailand. The pool was lovely and very big with the swim up bar. Nice little library, games room and computers. Free shuttle to the beach and a very short walk to the shops. We loved our stay here :)

The hill going up to the hotel was very steep but was a very short walk. But some people would definatly struggle with it. You could get a taxi up the hill but they charge 100 bhat which I think is ridiculous. The wifi wasn't very good. Sometimes it didn't work and you have keep logging back in every half or so which was quite frustrating. The guests above us made so much noise all hours of the day and night. I'm sure they were practising for the Olympics. Constant banging which we informed reception of this and they said they would ask them up be a little quieter but there was no change. Some of the fixtures and fittings in the shower had fallen off and they shower was very tempremental and went from freezing to boiling. Also massages and mini bar is very very overpriced so it's better to go into town for those.

I liked the pool,the restaurant food,and the view of the room.

I didn't like the non English-speaking staff as it was hard to communicate special at thee lobby. The exercise equipments was broken (only 2 treadmill and few weights ) available for more then 100 people.bikes were broken.the hotel should put a mini car to transfer the customers up the hill as for most of them was a strangle (special the elderly) .all the other hotels around got one.not enough staff before 8 am for breakfast so you had to wait for while or do self service.

The reception staff is very helpful .our room upgrade to suite which is amazing.room is spacious.

The slipper is not for one time use.

I love the suite (511) and also the club rooms. Excellent view of the beaches ( Kata and Karon) and also Kata Town. From the suite, you get to see the Big Buddha head also. At night can also see fireworks and lanterns. Superd!

If only they also provide tooth brush and paste.

Good value for money. The Avista Club rooms have a very good view over the sea.
