Ayothaya Hotel  

Good location, near railway station and shopping centre. Our room was also equipped with small geco ;-) Good place for one night stay.

Old-fashioned furniture. Very poor breakfast - almost only toasts with jam and fried eggs.

Right in middle of town next to bus station although very quiet. Accom great and staff very friendly and helpful. Pretty good English.

Breakfast could have been a little better. No cereals. Mainly toast, eggs and fruit.

For staying a few day's here it's O.K. - big car-park - swimming pool (never seen a soul there). Average hotel. WiFi was free.

The city itself is busy and hectic and it's hard to find your way around on your own. The hotel show's much nicer pics on it's site than the reality.. As everywhere the breakfast was dull with no variety. Needs money invested.

Very unhelpful personal, works together with tuk-tuk drivers who wants to take 200baht/h for exploring the city .pure rip off. dirty rooms,dirty towels.

Excellent locaton in the old town only 100metres around the corner from soi 2 where all the bars and resturants are situated. Pool facility is also good. Breakfast also a good selection of English and Thai cusine.

Advertised Internet in all rooms but was not available. Internet also in the lobby but not working. Needed to keep in touch with work, weather, events, maps and attractions. Ended up carying my laptop around the corner to a local bar with free wi-fi. What a pain...complained to reception but being Thailand it was my fault it was not working !!!! go figure. Also bus loads of school trips during the week. Kids running riot around corridors and knocking on doors unsupervised. Corridors between rooms are quite large and tiled, no carpet and the smallest noise is amplified. Would make an ideal place to practice for the Welsh male voice choir.

The hotel had an 'old time' look, with a sense of grandeur. The property was impressive.

But the richness was not at all maintained. The room had a much worn out look. The linens were not that fresh, the bed not made at its best. Bathroom fittings had aged badly and required immediate replacement. During our stay for two nights, we didn't ever notice their restaurant open.

Very little, the pool was ok, and it was not noisy.

The beds were awful, the wifi was unlogoutable, therefore a waste of money, the reception had nowhere to sit, the bar and restaurant were not in use, the breakfasts were terrible with awful canned music, the rooms were small and there was no fresh air anywhere. I had a headache both mornings on awakening due to the aircon. The location was ok if you wanted the market but was too far from the ruins.

A very nice price hotel with a refreshing pool, in the center of the city.

The pool is small on a concrete rooftop. The city center is near but very dirty.

The Hotel pool was very welcome after a day sightseeing. Great location, low price and especially the pool would make me choose this over the trendier back packer places around the corner.

The room we had felt very dated circa 1970s, and the breakfast buffet was not great, we skipped in and went somewhere else. The hotel has no atmosphere.

Unfriendly recepcionist. Did not bother to check availability for a Double Bed instead of Twin, athough it was our honeymoon... Not much variety on Breakfast. 'Satellite-TV' is basically bbc, nothing else. Room needs some redecoration, plugs were so old you need an adaptor (they are not in use anymore in Thailand, the first time I see them in 1 year living here!)... Bathroom has no hair-dryer... Public areas are really warm, no air-conditioning at all...

The pool is terrible. Pigeons and feathers and bird poo. The restaurant is ok, but every night seems to have a thai sing along.. The staff are very nice an friendly though.

Das Hotel liegt an einer gut befahrenen Hauptstraße ist jedoch mit den Zimmern ruhig.

Surface et propreté des chambres. La piscine pour se détendre en fin de journée.

Petit déjeuner occidental trés moyen.
