The staff were wonderful! The design was authentically lovely and it truly was a guest house. We felt like guests in someone's home including a lovely homemade breakfast. I really loved almost everything. We stayed in the executive suite with our two young boys in the bunk room which is a seperte space a few steps away because that is the only way we could book it. We moved them into the fold out couch in the adjacent sitting room. It was cooler and we felt more comfortable having them close. Some parents may feel differently but I wanted my 6 year old close by.

Everything. Food delicious. Setting authentic. Staff attentive. A home from home. Very welcome and warm and caring. Would have liked a recipe book with the cookery school evening that they provided. It was much more expensive than other providers and other providers also provide a recipe book and 1 person per wok. Whereas it was a shared wok but it was a lesson for the 2 of us, so would have expected to pay a bit more but should have included these two things.

We stayed for only 3 nights with 2 children aged 8 and 7. The people could not have been more welcoming and keen for us to experience traditional Thai culture in a Lanna house. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and outdoor bathrooms unique. We didn't want to leave so soon - it was the highlight of our stay in Thailand and an education. Nothing - the staff were keen to seek feedback for any issues there and then - of which we had none.

Atmospheric traditional style accommodation. Quiet. Informal. Good wifi. Very helpful staff. Kettle for room available on request. Outside shower, bathtub. Not known by drivers and not easy to find.

Loved this place. We were taken care of as if we were staying in someone's home. Great breakfasts made to order, taught us to cook our own wonderful Thai food, helped us with excursions, etc. It's quiet, treed, natural, yet right in the middle of the city of Chaing Mai. Can't get much better.

They were very friendly and informative. The moment we got there and the lady host saw I was not feeling good she personaly cooked a soup for me. The outside looks rustic and feels like you are in the middle of the jungle however the room was beatiful and very comfortable. We loved the homemade breakfast and how they greet you every time you arrive and leave. Was our favorite hotel on our 2 week trip and by far the best service. They really make you feel at home No prblems

Great place, I like the wooden style a lot. Expecially the smaller room have a two layer bed. Place is also easy to find, in the old city and closed to the Wat Phra Singh. Enjoy the leisure time in Baan Boo Loo.

We were seeking a destination that was faithful to traditional Thai architecture and design values without sacrificing comfort. Baan Boo Loo met those objectives well. As all members of its staff are either close relatives or social friends with each other, its atmosphere is extremely congenial and interactive. They also provided excellent help that enabled us to choose and schedule activities very quickly, particularly since we arrived with no preconceived notions about what we were going to do during our 5-day-stay. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Orn provided us a family atmosphere staying in Baan Boo Loo, look like our elder sister. Thank you very much for your help. The location is quiet and safe surrounded in local resident area. It is very good for visit the old town as well. Please consider carefully, if you do not endure staying with a few of insects.

It is excellent with the service, decoration, feeling, safety. We are still surprise till now with the first impression to arrive there. The house host is friendly and kindly to introduce the set room to us with nearly all the facilities prepared. We all like the decoration of that room and the environment of the house, it is green with tree and relax with the leisure facilities. Apart from that, we are also satisfied with the breakfast and the kindness of host to allow us leaving the bags there till afternoon. It would be more convenient to have the water heater every room, and hope it would be some improvement with the breakfast as it was not freshly cooked, when we had it late, it would be cool and less tasty.

Such an amazing little place, the owner was so kind and helpful. We loved out stay, especially the outside bath (even in the rain)! Definetly the highlight of our thailand trip. We wished we could stay longer. They have a wonderful buddist way of life there, a real family atmoshpere that you are invited to share in. From the minute we go there we were looked after, and we will definetly go back if we come to chiang mai again. It was the most expensive place we stayed at, but definetly worth it.

Staying at Baan Boo Loo is very special: it seems as if you are living in a tree house, but in fact you are in the heart of Chiang Mai. Also this 'tree house' has all facilities and it is easy to keep the mosquitos out (except for the bathroom where, at least in our room, there were purpose-build openings). Mind you, the bathroom was beautiful with a large bath and open shower build from natural rock. Oh, the service is great: the lady of the house will make sure you feel very welcome, will arrange any trips for you as you like and will at every opportunity try to help you. If you like to stay at a more eco-friendly hotel, have the feeling of nature around you and still be close to (in this case in) a city, this is your pick. There are staircases to get into your room, so not appropriate for wheelchair people. When you are there in the rainy season, take the mosquito-spray to breakfast (in open air, very cosy!!)

The staff were very friendly and helpfull, and they can arrange anything you would like to do It is not the ordnary hotel style, you would like it if you are looking for something really different, the outdoor bathroom wasnt really comfertable, and there was nothing to do with giant mosquitos
