TK Beach -Paid for 2 rooms only given one that was half the price. No restaurant, in garden little night light,No offer of refund.
There were dangerous dogs & sandflys daily bedroom bed bites & insects & bugs.
Dirty hut cleaned once in 12 days.
Met nobody at TK Beach. Saw no helper for my questions.Especially when bitten all over.
Dogs tried twice to bite me on my bike.
Found Ko Mak resort on my bike food very good & kind staff.Best to stay here.Sea views good too.

Nice quiet island but very expensive compared to other places in Thailand. There's only a couple roads easy to explore the whole island in one day. Just make sure to bring a lot of bug spray the sand flies and mosquitoes eat humans all the time- thai or foreigner- best resort hands is seavana

Really nice and chill island, it's laid back and a great place for a break but you can also do activities such as snorkeling and diving. There's not loads to do but it's exactly what we were looking for, a little island paradise. Plenty of restaurants but not many bars. A day trip to Koh Kham is an absolute must! "The Ball Cafe" and "Pak Pak Vegan" are great cafés. Try "M.A. Bistro" for upmarket dinner or "Khun Mam's Kitchen" for an authentic Thai meal.

Seeking a Thai escape that strays from the clichés of overcrowded and overhyped islands? Koh Mak is an undiscovered gem waiting to be explored. This island emerges as a paradisiacal retreat where time appears to stand still, offering a perfect balance of relaxation, exploration, and reconnection with what's essential.
For three to four days, our family had the privilege of reveling in the tranquility and serenity that pervade Koh Mak. Each day brought its share of discoveries, from the whispering waves breaking on sandy shores to the verdant landscapes seemingly untouched by time or man.
Just an hour's boat ride from Koh Chang, Koh Mak stands as an invitation to all those looking to immerse themselves in an authentic and preserved Thailand. The crystal-clear waters, secluded beaches, and warm hospitality of the locals make this island a charming alternative to the more well-known Koh Kood.
In conclusion, our stay in Koh Mak was an enchanting interlude, a precious family memory where each shared moment will remain etched as an invitation to tranquility and natural beauty. For those in search of a unique experience in Thailand, Koh Mak is a stopover not to be missed.

Koh Mak , one of the few relaxed islands in Thailand, with relaxed i mean quiet, no nightlife, no disco noise, no harassment from people trying to sell you whatever.
Its the place to switch of and recover. There is plenty of relatively quiet places to find , especially in low season you can be alone at some beaches for hours.
Getting around is easy by motorcycle, the island is small and it is almost impossible to get lost. Good food is to be found in many locations, i can especially recommend Koh Mak Seafood,Sweet Cake, Table Tales and Food Art Hut.Or maybe you want to sit on a Bar on a pier a bit out in the sea? : Then check out Plue Pear Bar it is at Ao Pra Pier acessible trough Cococape Resort ( there might be an entrance fee for outside guests) Of course that is not everything there is, there is cheaper traditional places to be found as well as more expensive high end restaurants in the bigger resorts.
Snorkeling and Diving is also very nice at Koh Mak, you should be there at the right season for good visibility tough.
Hidden Gems on the island. Peaceful place with private beach. Family owned business but they can get everything you need. Staffs and owner are pretty friendly and helpful. You can kayaking or snorkeling just right outside your room (and it is free). They also have taxi to pick you up and drop off at the pier. If you would like to explore the island, they have motorcycle for rent in a really good price. The road in the island is pretty easy to ride. I would love to come here again for sure.
The resort has a handfull of spread out bungalows in a huge garden, so you will get a lot of privacy. The garden is beautiful, same for the beach, which is cleaned daily by the staff. The location is perfect - on the best beach on the island, across the street from 2 very nice restaurants and a 3 min walk to other cafes, pharmacy etc. The hosts are also very nice. I had one of the smaller bungalows- it has basic facilities, but it is comfortable
Everything was good even staff friendly but we face little issue while communication and they have daily pork options not chicken breakfast but even so they provide special meal!
Internet speed slow and AIS working good
Want to stay again!
Koh Mak is really amazing and value to your trip if you like peaceful island!!!!!
See you soon
Breakfast other iteams soooooo good!!!!!!!😋😋😋😋
Eat like never eat before
Really enjoyed our 5-day stay here and could have remained indefinitely. The pool and view is excellent, view from the rooms, very spacious, good air conditioning, warm water, able to rent a motorbike directly at the resort, and good breakfast with choices. The owner, Pepe, was present and enjoyed chatting with him. Rented a kayak down the road (at his partner’s resort) and had a great trip out to Koh Rayang.
An absolutely brilliant stay! Myself and two friends stayed here for a relaxing 3 days and everything we could want from a resort was here. The bar at the end of the boardwalk is a perfect spot for a cocktail and a relaxing swim. We were able to rent motorbikes on site which was very handy. I also made use of the boat ride to the nearby island of Koh Kham - definitely recommended.
Nice apartment in second floor with sea view over the bungalow roofs 👍. Very comfy beds. Very good breakfast, with freshly baked chicken eggs/ pan cakes. Breakfast restaurant with nice location next to the sea ❤️. Hotel in good location, some restaurants within few minutes and a shop also. Hotel has own pier of speed boats to reach Koh Kood or Chang. Nice beach 🌊🏖.
We loved our stay here! Jake’s shakes and coconut coffees are awesome. Ultra relaxed atmosphere! The bungalows are really beautiful, lots of wood. Shower is great, with rain shower and massage head. The bed is awesome! Comfiest bed in Thailand, with a spectacular view. Also the food on Koh Mak is so fresh and delicious, why is no one talking about that!
Big clean territory with a garden on the seaside with a wonderful beach. Only 8 bungalows and a Thai massage spot under the sky. There is a wonderful place for feeling relaxing and enjoying a peaceful time on the island. Each bungalow is equipt with AC, kettle, and TV (however we didn't check if the tv works or not)
The staff are very friendly and helpful!
The location is amazing! The nearby restaurant was really good!
The masseur is the best!
We rent a golf cart from the hotel and explore the island! Very recommended
Also they are very eco friendly and have water tanks around the resort instead of plastic bottles!
Nice little guesthouse in a great central location within the main hub of koh mak so lots of orher taurants and shops nearby. pool/sea gacing rooms were spotless and confy and the pool was lovely for a dunk to cool off and beach was nice. staff were all super friendly and helpful and we had good time
Very clean hotel, plain, simple but clean and new with all basics covered including air con. Great location, close to alot of places. The hotel was great in helping with transport on and off the island and pick up and drop off. They were very quick to respond to messages on booking.com
gorgeous view of the beach and sunset from the balcony. right on the beach. simple yet comfortable. good cocktail (pina colada) and food nice. good cafe next door for great coffee! Koh kam is very close on the boat. peaceful place.
Basic accommodation but great location, calm, green, relaxing. Perfect for a break from hectic life. Back to nature! The Lady managing the property was lovely, taking care of us perfectly, always smiling and positive.
Perfect location for Koh Mak. Clean, good AC, but the best thing was Natida the host. She was the nicest person you could imagine. She took us to watch the sunset every night, ate with me and even bought beers!
Liked all aspects of the hotel, particularly the swimming pool. Good breakfast, with hot food cooked to order. Reception very helpful in booking onward travel.
Beautiful older resort at beachfront lots of privacy at bungalow
Beautiful beach in front
only negative could be careful for sand flies
I would return again
Very nice breakfast comparing to what you pay, free transfer between pier and hotel, nice decoration, friendly and helpful lady at reception/breakfast.
