The area is a bit out but wasn't a problem at all.
The place is nice , rooms are comfy , staff helpful, especially the girls at the reception.
No eating facility not even for breakfast the smell from the shower drain was ripe. The WIFI did not work dropping in- out
Its central, room clean
The hotel is quite basic, but comfortable to stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful arranging tours etc. Good laundry service at entrance to hotel. Saturday night market starts right outside.
Convenient location that is within walking distance of all the main attractions in the old city. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wifi tooooo weak
Location at sat market
Some room doors were too tight which caused loud noise when closing. Suggest the hotel to maintain this to avoid inconvenience.
The rooms were clean and comfortable with all basic needs provided. Staff were friendly.
Poor water pressure in shower, hard bed.
Staff are amazing, room is good for the price you pay. Clean, near the saturday marked. Can rent motorbike directly from the hotel.
No really a breakfast option
Rational big room
Room was very basic: no nightstand, no bed light, no safe or locker. Breakfast was not included. Luckily there are several nice sandwich shops in the street behind the hotel.
The hotel is on walking distance from the city centre. Our room was perfectly clean and the airco was good.
Everything was great, but be advised it's a bit of a walk to tha pae gate or the night bazzar, but we didn't mind one bit :)
Staff was kind and full of smiles. The hotel has an elevator. No bugs in room, quiet locations.
No laundry service
Staff were very professional and friendly. Nice to see so many smiles. Location was good enough as near a nice market and the old city. Nice and quiet at night. I had a lovely view of a mountain from my Window :)
The price, location and room.
I like the people there. They are cery nice and the room is very comfortable.
The location of the hotel isn't comfortable. You will need to get a taxi to go every place in Chiang Mai. Also, taxi drivers don't understand the name of the hotel- I reccomend to take a photo of hotel entrance with it's name in Thai
The room was very clean and neat, though very basic. The staff is very nice and ready to please. At the lobby you can find answers to many questions. You can also purchase adventure trips with hotel discount
- for this price there was nothing I did not like
- very spacious room with really good a/c - we paid very little for our stay (rain-season deal) - daily cleaning was very thorough - very good location (make sure to include Saturday during your stay - the hotel is literally at the Saturday market street) - helpful staff
Decor was old and plain. TV was 20 years old.
Very close to Chiang Mai Gate. Ladies were very cordial and helpful. Bed is very comfortable. Wifi is very fast and reliable. Bedroom and bath is large.
The main points of interest in the city a bit far from hotel. You don't any interesting views from your window. Some rooms face to other houses windows.
Comfort . Cleanliness and good attention but out of the city walls. Easy to get taxi and just on the Saturday night market. A huge street food stalls until late night 50 meters away from hotel
Nothing that stands out.
Location is perfect. Rooms are clean and beds are big. Good choice of TV channels and front of house staff always very friendly.
The hotel is in the middle of the Saturday Walking Street Market, and you have to walk through crowds on Saturday evening. Some people will like this, others won't.
Friendly staff. Quiet, pleasant public areas. Location, in a mixed Thai/foreign area. Reasonable number of good restaurants close by.
Upon arriving, I was greeted by nonetheless 4 girls at the reception. Of whom of course none spoke fluent English. I didn't book my room though booking yet, was in the area and I dropped by with my bags as well. The price asked at front desk was higher than on booking by 100 baht. Asking for the same price, I was told it's not possible. I laughed and explained them I can click a button an have it my way. After some discussions in thai, all 4 agreed I could have the same price, but I felt this is fishy and proceeded to pressing the book now button. In 30 seconds time they had my booking on the screen. I was handed the paperwork, during which I was asked to pay upfront the nights stay. I proceeded to take out my card and hand it over. Oh boy... After a lot of thai no-no's, I explained I don't have it in cash and I can pay tomorrow. Again, "no-no pay now. Pay cash only. Card only more 1000 baht." Out comes the manager, a lady in her 50's which spoke some English. I explained the situation and kindly asked to pay with the card or by cash the next day. "Hotel policy not possible pay tomorrow. Pay now." I explained again I booked trough booking.com and there is no such thing as pay upfront mentioned there. Didn't matter. "If you no like, go elsewhere. You not payed any money." Clearly, this manager has no idea how booking.com works. I was about to phone the support team when, probably seeing that I mean it, they suddenly asked form my card and now it's possible to pay by card as well. Room was very badly outdated. Walls needed a desperate paintjob, full of stains and literally years of touching them. Bottled water in the minibar had cap unsealed, probably refilled with tap water. Mosquitoes in the room. Dead 4 cm bug in the bathroom. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Stay way. For the same money, go to a newer hotel outside the old city. Napatra for example.
Big room, aircon works, but very loud.
Got confused with 2 hotels same name. One near airport.
I would like to mention the ever smiling and warm staff .Its was a very comfortable stay.
Staff friendly, beds very comfortable, clean, good location
had to pay a premium for a room with a view.
early check in free coffee and hot pot in room. great bed. elevator hi speed internet on all floors
Possibly the best location just on the edge of the moat.. Great staff, very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel.. highly recommended!
Beds are hard (a theme in Thailand though) and the rooms aren't super clean. There aren't a lot of restaurants nearby. For the price though I think its a good option (cheaper in person than through booking though!)
Wifi was better this time (I've stayed here 3 times) and the staff is excellent. The location is ok, with a 7-11 about 2 minutes away, and a few nearby restaurants, but there's not a lot. If you want to be close to the Saturday night market though this is the place!!! Also its a good budget option.
