On the banks of Pai River, in tropical gardens, Baan Pai Village provides rustic wooden cottages. It provides massage services and is only a 5-minute walk from Wat Pa Kham Temple.

The location is fantastic, right by the river and very close to the centre but peaceful and quiet. The staff were so lovely and even provided first aid on my friend despite the injury being obtained elsewhere. We were on a budget but wanted to experience Pai properly and we definitely did but without breaking tge bank. Although the cottages are basic inside, they are cosy and clean, just perfect.
It doesn't say on booking.com but there are 2 different options of cottages. On booking.com only the more expensive riverside option is available (which is still lovely) but when I opted to stay another night they offered me a cheaper cottage at the back overlooking fields, which may be a better option for guests
The location was perfect, just minutes from walking street. The bungalow was very 'Thailand' and had a cosy feel about it. It wasn't big but fine for a single traveller, it might feel a bit small for a couple.
Not a big thing but there were a LOT of ants in the bathroom. They didn't make it into the bedroom because I kept the door closed but just something to bear in mind if creepy crawlies are not your thing.
Very nice and considerate service, simple breakfast, natural environment and like the swing, wood benches and the cute and lazy dogs
We booked the hostel in advance online and the price is much higher than booking upon arrival, which we found out when talking to "our neighbours"
The hut was very cute with a nice hammock outside. It's location couldn't have been better; right at the end of the walking street and across the river. This means you are only 30 seconds away from the main area but in the evening when the music starts you are not close enough for it to be an issue. My boyfriend got very sick from food poisoning and the owner took him in his car to the hospital, waiting over an hour for us and then took us home. He wouldn't even expect our tip.
Because it is a bamboo hut and the roof is made of leaves, you have to expect that nature will want to join in on your stay. There are quite a lot of mosquitoes (but a net is provided). We found a large spider in our bathroom and also a big lizard. There seemed to be some sort of bat living under our roof which we heard squeezing every now and then. This is only an issue if you don't like bugs or animals.
The room was good. I like bamboo bridge and pai river. Nice location and nearby walking street.
Just next door noisy until late night!!
I love the atmosphere there... So peaceful yet convenient to go to the walking street.
I liked the proximity to the town the river
The bed was uncomfortable room too small the toilet was smelly no air conditioners or tv
Great bungalows in a great location. Just far enough from the hustle of Pai to relax in, but close enough to party.
The pillows are too big that uncomfortable.
cozy and quite. Nice garden and peopel!
The location beside the river Well maintained property Very reasonable tariff
Thin wall room and no air conditioning, if im being very picky
Not clean Bad breakfast Overrated You can find something cheaper
It is in the most beautiful location, along the river with views of the mountains. Such a relaxing place. The huts have hammocks on the porches where you can relax. Staff are lovely & very helpful.
Everybody there was super nice and helpful. Comfy outdoor common space made it an easy way to connect with other people. Only a short walk from center of town. Great location with nice views from the bungalows. I had a great time there.
That on my bookings.com reservation I requested a certain type of room, which was confirmed, then not available upon arrival.
Great location in the heart of town if you don't mind the rickety bamboo bridge in the dark. Far enough away that it's a really peaceful place just to hang out on your own or join in with others at the various little places they provide for guest. Really cute.
Breakfast was sugar toast and bad coffee. OK for a hangover I suppose but not for anyone with taste buds intact. They were quite happy for us to use their mugs and hot water to take back and enjoy on our veranda.
The staff was very nice and the room was clean.
Location is great! Lovely Banglows and cottages! Nice view of river! Friend staff!
No hot water in my room. Many bugs.
good location and leisure environment
Pai is a fabulous town in which to relax and unwind and this hotel really helps you to do just that. It is extremely basic - what more do you need than a bed and a good, hot shower? It is set on the banks of the river, which is picturesque. I spent many evenings chilling in my hammock with a beer watching the wildlife. Definitely a must for all nature lovers as you will come across many weird and wonderful residents in your hut. A great experience.
Very noisy geckos in the evenings and the night. This can't be helped with the position and nature of the hotel.
The view on the mountains from my cottage The hammock The location on the quiet side of the river but 5mn walk only to center The space
Clean and big room Great bathroom Very good location
Did not feel interest from staff Works for building new rooms Expensive compared to other hotels around
Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the wifi was good. Fans worked well. Lovely outside area, right on the river. Nice hammocks on the bungalows.
Not recommended for people squeamish about bugs and things. There were slugs, worms and snails in the bathrooms, and in the bamboo bungalows there were definitely Creatures living in the roof which was terrifying at night.
The environment is so good, and it's so close to the Bar.
The water heater for shower didn't work very well, but I prefer cool water, so it's Okay for me.
Great place to relax in Pai. Basic bungalows but great value for the low price.
If you hate insects I wouldnt suggest the basic bungalows, but for me a few ants were no problem.
